We had beef, chicken, and shrimp entree and they were served piping hot, freshly made with sufficient heat to tantalize the taste buds. Service was excellent with both promptness and friendliness and we were very pleased.

This is basically canned Chinese food, recycled from a few days earlier. 1) The meat is hard and leathery and the food is very oily. 2) The curry had a bad after-taste 3) be prepared to burp your dinner for hours after. My Advice? There are so many great Thai options in Amsterdam and in fact in the neighborhood. Save... More

This very small and usually busy place caters the neighbouring area with their great Thai take always. But you can also have dinner insiders. The menu is straight forward with all Thai classics at great value.

im actually very suprised to see any positive review about this place, the only authentic thing might be the look of the venue but the food was less than average and I can't tell it was improved by any kind of good service. maybe, you can enjoy if you have never been to Thailand but nothing tasted like actually "home... Som Tam Thai is around the corner from the B&B I was staying at. It became my favourite Asian restaurant on my holiday. I had dinner there four times! The place was quite full every time I visited (they don't have many tables) but they always managed to find me a table. The place seems to be very popular with... More

Ugly! I've never eaten a Pad Thai like this, with big pieces of raw onions. Terrible. I must forget that thing they call spring rolls. The worst thai I'v ever been

Small and simple restaurant with great food. We had the vegetarian dishes and they were amazing. Very authentic and yummy. I will definitely come back when I'm in Amsterdam again.

We went on a Saturday night. It was crazy busy with a full restaurant plus plenty of people getting takeaways. We saw eat in customers like us getting their food before us despite arriving comfortably after us. We started with the tom yum soup (really nice) but then had to wait an unacceptable time for our main course. The food... More

The food is great, but the customer service is abominable! There are plenty of other great Thai restaurants around, so don't waste your time on this one. Try Ko Chang on Westerstraat instead - just 100m away.

the food was good but average - tom yam kai (spicy chicken soup), chicken with yellow curry and cashew chicken - all good but nothing great. bummer was no beer or anything other than water or soft drinks (we drank coke zero which is very out of the ordinary)....) we suspect the coke zero was what added up our bill... Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
