I've visited La Perla twice without a reservation and both times have had a great meal sitting at the bar. The pizzas are of a good quality with seemingly fresh ingredients. A carafe of wine and good pizza = great times. The atmosphere is nice, just feel they should keep one table for free for the occasional walk in...

A seriously buzzy neighbourhood pizza restaurant. The food was delicious and service very good throughout but the prices are perhaps a little high and while I'd highly recommend a visit I'd also insist that you don't sit by the door on a cold night as it was freezing sat there and with the kitchen across the road it gets opened... We went here with friends from Belgium and family from Amsterdam - who doesn't love pizza and the pizza here is amazingly delicious. It is baked in a wood fired oven and the crust is thin! A perfect combination for a perfect pizza pie! everyone ordered a different one - and we shared Sangiovse, Quattro Formaggi, Puttanesca, Carciofo and Proscuitto!... More

Visited on a busy Friday night. Buzzing little restaurant so book ahead or be prepared to wait. Home made pizza was lovely. I had a homemade sausage on mine which was super tasty. Overall glad I made the effort. Restaurant is also in a nice neighbourhood.

Ordered a quatro formagi (4 different cheeses) directly at the counter of the pizzaiolo and eat it outdoors on the street- very tasty, thin crispy dough with generous cheese topping, friendly waters from the restaurant across the street were asking if we needed more... 👍

Pizza here is good but it's not Naples good. Seems like its young college students making the pizza. Find a seat outside and enjoy your pizza. Reasonably priced thin crust wood oven pizza.

Must be the best pizza in Amsterdam!—and in a charming neighborhood (Jordaan) with loads of ambiance. The take-out half of the operation, where the pizza is prepared, is across the street from the table-service area. Be sure to make a reservation—you’ll need it!

I have visited this restaurant 3 times and all times it has dissapointed me...!! It is a pretty famous place in town (do not really get why due to my experience) so you know that once you go you most propably wait to find a seat, unsless you book (like I did all times).. In general everything was quite expensive,... More

La Perla is a pizzeria on the corner of Tweede Tuindwarsstraat and Tuinstraat in the Jordaan district that serves up proper Italian style pizza using very good ingredients. I stopped for lunch recently and had a very nice meal. I order the Calabrese which was nicely baked, with buffalo mozzarella, slices of cherry tomato with lovely and hot nduja paste.... More

Description
In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
