Located in an out of the way place, it is worth the search. It's not a cart, but it is a permanent street food stall. Popular at lunchtime, it's common to wait in a line. For us in the middle of November on a damp,...More

We were lucky enough to arrive before a queue built up but even if there was a queue it would be worth the wait. The frites were freshly cooked and the sauces, even as simple as they were, Ketchup and Mayo with onions were a...More

I found the place when I passed by accidentally, it is in the alley near dam square. It is a small store but you will have to queue because this is a famous one. For the overall taste is good, just average because the fries...More

The best and authentic chip shop serving fresh hot chips since 1887. They have many sauces to go with your chips and that cost extra. Try the spicy ketchup, sambal, curry or chocolate and peanut butter for the adventurous :)

The fries are good and crunchy, if a bit greasy. The portions are large. Great variety of sauces, but then all fries places in Amsterdam have them all as well. Probably very popular because it is very centrally located and it is cheap food in...More

Was recommended to go here by an Amsterdam resident. I had my frites with the Belgium Mayo. The fries in Amsterdam are certainly different from those in North America, so I highly recommend trying them while here! I loved how crunchy they were.

Superb frites sold in a narrow street from a hatch in the wall. Queue of 20 people at least (so it must be good) but all quickly served. Great large portion of fries with mayonnaise and diced raw onion.

Though rated (apparently) 'the best fries in the Netherlands' I didn't find this place to be threat. It's good, cheap and yummy but not worth the hype.

I think you might have already traveled by now. There is a train you could take from the airport that brings you to the railway station, and then you could take a tram or ferry depending on where you are staying.
