4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stopped off initially for drinks, and got ourselves a seat outside under a heater. Nice views, and got settled, so ended up ordering 2 Chicken Satay's off the menu. These were very tasty, if a little dry, but came with very good chips and a nice salad. Large portions as well. Service good, atmosphere nice.

We went for the full English and initially noticed the price but it was very worth it! The breakfast is huge. Not five stars because the toilets weren't the best.

Visited for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, very poor service, ordered a Starter which never arrived. Main course seemed to have been thrown together. Waitress then tried to give us our starter when we were eating our main. Would have liked to have had more than 1 beer. Our drinks were empty for the whole meal, I noticed this was the... More

Went here on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly quiet but it was lovely. It's a tad pricey but the view from the outdoor area is worth it just to sit there and sip on a few drinks and take it all in.

Please, consider that I'm from italy. So I'm used to have another type of restaurant. Nothing excellent and nothing bad. I had a veggie burger (in italy it is not so easy to find) a some beer. Good choice to spend time with friends having some beer.

Hungry, damp and cold looking for a place to eat. Came across here and as the building stood out we thought we would give it a chance. The menu was varied and had a good selection of drinks. My fish came with a fantastic selection of vegetables and the steak was well cooked. The chips were dry, crispy and perfect.... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
