We just tried this place because the the location was convenient. It seems like a decent restaurant and I'm a big fan of Indian food. This place had excellent food reasonable prices in a great location in the heart of the city. We had an appetizer, a chicken dish and a beef dish. All were great. Prices were quite reasonable... At first I thought this was one of those places that offer you bread at the start of the meal and then charge you heavily for it after. The popadoms were unusually seeded, tasted ok and were complimentary. Also our curry dishes included rice at no extra charge. Which was most unusual for Amsterdam. The curries, chicken jalfrezi and rogan... More

My husband and I came here on Sunday 5th Feb and Monday 6th Feb the food was that good. My husband has a dietary condition called PKU and cannot eat meat, fish, cheese, eggs. We had vegetable samosas to start which were really nice. We had vegetable biryani for mains which were amazing. The rice really was tasty. We had... More

Thought we'd have a ruby one night and found this place local to our hotel. Whilst welcoming, it's pretty small and other guests conversations from other tables are very clear to be heard. We were later told the Dutch don't really like spice and hot food which might explain it but the madras I had was very sweet and far... More

We found this restaurant not in purpose. Starved after walking around and shipping at Damrak area, we bumped this restaurant next to Subway, which we considered initially, but found it was too crowded for our liking. And thank God for that, as we just tasted one of the best Indian food ever! Call it as hyperbole, or effect of winter... More

We liked this restaurant very much. The atmosphere is good and you feel very comfortable in the restaurant, even despite the fact that the restaurant is not looking very-very luxurious, but I think it is not necessary as the most important is how do you feel inside and how do you like the meal. The restaurant is clean, the staff... More

I was traveling with my daughter who is a vegetarian. We often look for Indian Restaurants since we can always find something we can both enjoy. We went to Koh-i-noor for New Year's Eve dinner. The atmosphere was good, the service friendly, and the food very, very good. I had Chicken Kurma Kashmiri and my daughter had Channa Masala. We... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
