Delicious traditional Dutch cuisine with great service and warm atmosphere. We were lucky to grab a table without a reservation on a busy Saturday. We had the special of the day that came with a soup, main course and dessert. Debit card or cash only.

The friendly hosting, the generosity of the chef, the courteous service (which is not obvious in Amsterdam), all of which made us return there twice during our visit to Amsterdam. First of all, do not miss traditional dishes that are amazingly tasty, such as Dutch...More

The food was very good and the service was very friendly at this little neighborhood establishment. The prices were reasonable with the exception of a bottle of water for six euros. No tap water is served.

Despite the French name, La Falote provides outstanding Dutch cuisine. Service very friendly and quick. Atmosphere ye olde Dutch. Payment by cash or debit card (pin), not by creditcard. Regrettably we missed the owner Peter playing his accordeon.

Great traditional food ,atmosphere and service. Good size portions . The chef/owner came out and did a few numbers on his accordion that made our evening extra special.

Our evening at La Falote was very pleasant. Staff are genuinely helpful and welcoming. The food is OK. My quiche was microwaved and the coleslaw was a bit stale, but portions are good and the food is tasty. Prices are reasonable for Amsterdam.

We enjoyed our meal here, it was good to find this restaurant near to our hotel. It’s conveniently near a few tram stops for the 12 and 24 , so convenient if you are staying more centrally.

Eethuisje La Falote is a typical Dutch restaurant in the Museum quarter. The best traditional Dutch kitchen in town, more than 30 years. Simple, but nice and straight. Now, we also are open for lunch, starts at 13.00 hs - 4 minutes walking from Museum square - 7 minutes walking from the Albert Cuyp market - Tram nr 3 and nr 5 stops on the corner Our dishes are still traditionally prepared by the chef Peter. That is why the menu includes dishes that fit the season, such as stews and peas with bacon in winter, and in summer salads and fish. The Dutch classic, the meatball, is always on the menu. In addition, La Falote has a daily and weekly changing menu, often with simply Dutch meals. Our kitchen is closed at 9 pm
