This is a nice dinner place with a lovely interior with knick knacks lining the walls, giving the restaurant a very homely feel. Tried the apple pie and it was packed with flavour. The chef, Peter, also played the accordion for us, which made a...More

This is a charming, typical Dutch restaurant where you feel like a local as soon as you walk through the door. There are not many such places around, which makes La Falote a very special place. The kitchen is run by the owner, Peter, who...More

We went for an early dinner and we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The Chef, Peter, took the trouble to come to our table and gave us his recommendations. As we were visiting Amsterdam, Peter recommended traditional Dutch dishes to us. The...More

Eethuisje La Falote is a typical Dutch restaurant in the Museum quarter. The best traditional Dutch kitchen in town, more than 30 years. Simple, but nice and straight. Now, we also are open for lunch, starts at 13.00 hs - 4 minutes walking from Museum square - 7 minutes walking from the Albert Cuyp market - Tram nr 3 and nr 5 stops on the corner Our dishes are still traditionally prepared by the chef Peter. That is why the menu includes dishes that fit the season, such as stews and peas with bacon in winter, and in summer salads and fish. The Dutch classic, the meatball, is always on the menu. In addition, La Falote has a daily and weekly changing menu, often with simply Dutch meals.
