You wont find any nicer people serving any better food for such a good price anywhere in any big city. Absolutely delicious food. They will make it just the way you like it. Highly recommended indeed.

Stopped in here based on reviews and could not be happier! I got the dumur wrap with lamb. Ended up with the meal which included fries and a bottle of soda for only €6.50! When the wrap came it was huge! The nice thing was...More

Plumped for this over the wok and walk that was opposite and was pleased I did. Was very tasty meat and a big portion. I only managed half. The Semmy's special at €5.50 was a nice change from normal kebabs- it was meat, fries, salad...More

We were pretty hungry when we arrived in Amsterdam and needed something to eat "right now". Semmy's was perfect. Quick, good, and reasonable.

Great place to stop for a quick bite. Had their lamb gyro dish (doner) which came on a bread bun actually with a very hefty serving of tasty meat. Added hot sauce to the meal to give it an extra kick. Owners (Asian couple actually)...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Semmy's is really fantastic for a quick cheap lunch when you're blitzing through the crowds in the most touristy part of downtown Amsterdam. It's just a five minute walk from the main train station, and 4 euros will get you a fantastic durum or donor kebab.
