Spotted this coffee shop on our first afternoon in Amsterdam when on the lookout for somewhere to eat that evening (see review of nearby Sluizer). A warm welcome, a decent cup of coffee and a much-needed snack persuaded us to return for breakfast the next day - and then twice more during our short stay. A homely setting, pleasant relaxed... We were looking for a small local restaurant for breakfast, and the concierge of the Waldorf Astoria, recommended Zuivere Koffie. This little shop is quite charming and cozy! It has an outdoor seating area and the owner must enjoy fresh flowers, because there were pretty flower arrangements throughout the shop! They serve very good coffee and have a nice selection... Stayed nearby at the outstanding Waldorf Astoria. I'm sure the breakfast at the Waldorf is worth a Michelin Star but on the road it's good to have some normal meals, especially breakfast. We had three breakfasts in a row. One day there was a large cat who appeared to belong to the place. One day there were many locals. One... More

We went there for breakfast. The staff was quite slow and also forgot some drinks we ordered. The breakfast was nothing special and for that it was a bit overpriced. After we finished the staff also didn't care to ask if we would like to order something else or even cared to take the dirty dish.

Very cosy and small 'feel' like home place. Great coffee with soy milk, fresh mint tea, fresh juices and the best sandwiches and cakes (chocolate cake, apple nut cake...)

A nice place, but not necessarily a place that I would go out of my way for, service was ok, but not super friendly. Food was average nothing special and so was the coffee.

Stopped in for a quick snack. Hot chocholate rich with real whipped cream. The homemade apple pie was " to die for" and the basil, mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich simply delicious! Cozy and friendly, an authentic café where the locals go.

This small place is a feast for honest ingredients and home made bakery. The menu card contains treats you might find at your Granny's farm house. The staff is very friendly and clearly take pride in giving their patrons a good coffe break. In the middle of Amsterdam. My favourite is the Fresh orange juice with lemon ice sorbet. The... More

Recently visited Zuivere Koffie on Utrechtsestraat during a trip to Amsterdam. This is a cozy, homelike cafe and a great spot for a morning coffee and breakfast prior to staring your day of sightseeing. Opening hours are 8am to 5pm daily (9-5pm on Sundays). There is wide food menu at Zuivere Koffie but I was there for coffee and a... More

Spend some time taking a break from shopping and museums in this traditional, friendly cafe. Great range of cakes and desserts - try the amazing lemon tart. All hand made and baked on the premises. Worth a visit.
