Very good location. The decoration of the restaurant is Spartan but the food makes up for it. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. I'd visit again.

My wife and I were both craving for Chinese food thus we planned to have one dinner. Not bad the food and particularly I love their house red wine it's quite smooth and we feel so much welcome by the Hong Kee lady who serviced us so good. Roasted duck rice are nice though.

Went out for lunch with my family. We ordered mix vegetables, a beef dish and shrimp stuffed tofu. It didn't take long before the food arrived, but they don't serve everything at the same time. So first the vegetables and the tofu shrimp came to the table and when I checked it, the shrimp was still GREY. Raw. We told... More

Very busy restaurant. Service was a little slow and drinks were small for the price. The food was very very good. Quality was excellent and the portions very very generous. I would go back again to try other things on the menu.

I have went there to continue my search for good asian food in Amsterdam, in which I have only found a few of them. This is not one of them, the food is a little pricier than what you would find at Chinatown whilst also being not being delicious. All the ingredients seems old and taste old including the meat,... We had lunch here, ordered mussels with blackbean sauce, very tasty. And chinese mix meat rice dish and a rice-sticks soup with shrimp dumplings. Just the soup was missing seasoning. It was a good lunch and not too pricy. Total was 39€ for 2. The staff might not speak the language fluently, but they are very friendly and helpful.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
