Two of us visited and were both excited by the very tempting menu. Service was slow, only two people were working on a busy Sunday morning. My tea cup was chipped in three places. I ordered poached eggs with toast. My friend ordered a bagel with avocado and tomato. Both my toast and my friends bagel weren't buttered. Her bagel... More

G's is a must visit for brunch when in Amsterdam. It does a blinding Bloody Mary and the menu options feature some of the classic faves with a little G's originality plus some other lesser found specials. I opted for the chicken waffle burger - super delicious. This place was packed when we visited on Sunday afternoon so we're glad... More

Very nice and cosy, hipster style place, awesome for hangover breakfasts and brunches. All cool and all, snacks were yummy, maybe a bit overpriced, also wish the waiter wouldn't forget about our drinks and bringing back the change...

The Hipster's have done well here, serving tasty American inspired brunch along with a Bloody Mary selection that even the most bearded East Londoner would struggle to turn his nose up at. After making your choice from the menu printed on an old record, your food will be served by a collective of very friendly cool kids. If you value... More

I have visited Gs 3 times now since moving into the same street. Food is great, can't recommend the chicken waffle burger enough it's amazing. Mimosas are lovely and they do a great fresh mint tea. Service can be a bit hit or miss but I've found that depends on how busy they are. My last visit this week was... More

We went here for brunch and wasn't disappointed. The décor, music and setting was very in theme with the name of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was good. It is very popular so worth booking before you go!

As stated in the title, the food was great (except the Bloody Mary was way too spicy) but the waitress was really rude. We were waiting for our friends who were late (nothing major, only 10 minutes) but the waitress came 3 times in those 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted. At the end also she was pushing... More

This really great brunch place just west of the centre of Amsterdam serves delicious brunch items plus amazing cocktails. They also serve lunch through the week and have other events on certain evenings. It's a bit of American/British hipsterism for locals and expats alike who're looking for the best brunch in town!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
