This restaurant is open a bit earlier than many others in Amsterdam if you are looking for a good breakfast. We had omelets with gruyere and bacon and cappucino and everything was great. Food was high quality, staff was super friendly, atmosphere was cute, and our cappucino was delicious. Highly recommend!

Nice and Jolie is a fantastic starter for the working day. Bread, croissant, cappuccino, tea, jam, cakes, ok everything you would like for breakfast in a wooden design atmosphere.

We called in here to warm up after a morning of exploring the inner city by foot in below freezing temperatures. The hot chocolate was delicious, as were the lemon tart and humus with grilled veg. Yum! Very helpful staff

We had actually planned to go somewhere else for a coffee and sweet stuff. Since my friend is vegan we were really looking for a place with vegan cakes. We are so glad we still stumbled upon this great place! Even though not much vegan cakes haha, the staff still made something really nice for my friend. And I enjoyed... More

Stumbled across this place. A real rustic feel inside and ramdom seating arrangement. The food however is fabulous. Went from lunch one day and back for breakfast another. Fresh orange juice and salmon just so tasty.

Have visited a Pain Quotidien in London and loved it and this was no exception. Had breakfast here twice and coffee and cake in the afternoon. Seriously lovely staff and the food and coffee were excellent - such a lovely atmosphere - a good place to go.

Description
Our bread is made today exactly as it was in the beginning: with only organic stone-ground flour, salt, and water, kneaded and shaped by hand and baked in a hearth under the watchful eye of artisan bakers. We insist on the freshest and finest ingredients. If we can't find them, we make them ourselves. Our shelves are lined with the products we've created: the jams and chocolate spreads on the communal table, the granola in your parfait, the coffee that fills your bowl.
