If you like tapas in a nice and quiet environment go here a little outside of the busy city centre but well worth a visit. Great tapas and perfect friendly service wit a smile!

This place was amazing, great atmosphere, great service incredible food! The manager/owner was super friendly and helpful and all of the staff were great, despite our lack of Spanish skills. So many gluten free options, great to have a tapas place where gluten free people...More

This was where we ended up when we decided we wanted tapas! Service was friendly but slow and disjointed - orders were forgotten which resulted in a large wait. We ordered eight dishes between four people and it was plenty. We also had two bottles...More

We had an evening meal here. We ordered a range of tapas, all of them were really good. Would of preferred a slightly bigger portion given the prices but that is the only issue. Happy with our meal overall.

Fairly expensive, not really authentic. The tables are quite awkwardly placed, some are a bit claustrophobic. The waiter gave us a lecture about waste, we had to place our order in two lots but he never came back again. The lamb chops were good, minuscule...More

9 of us came for a meal and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was warm, friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious: the pulled beef was very flavoursome; calamari cooked perfectly; garlic prawns were also fab. Wine selection was great also. Lovely...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Duende is the oldest tapas bar in Amsterdam. For over 25 years this bar has been widely recognized for its authentic Spanish food, as well for neighborhood people as for tourists. Good quality food and a nice ambiance do not have to be complicated. The flamenco classes and performances make Duende a Spanish gem in the Jordaan area.
