We make this a go-to while in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is warm and laid back. The food is consistently good and well-priced. Seating upstairs offers canal views and people watching. If the weather is warm they erect a small patio along the canal to enjoy the sunshine! Highly recommend for a casual dinner or afternoon snack/pint.

Went here for lunch whilst in Amsterdam and was pleasantly surprised by the number of vegetarian options available. Staff were really friendly and happy to help and the food was good too. Really nice atmosphere, not too catered for tourists either.

We visited this cafe/restaurant twice during our three day trip to Amsterdam, as it was just around the corner from Anne Frank's house. We only ordered drinks to pass the time, but the service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed even though we only stayed for drinks.

We went there because we wanted to try bitterballen and weren't disappointed. The staff was also really friendly and the rest of the lunch was also good

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat on a cold New Years Day Evening. The place was cosy and welcoming with the staff very helpful. The Dish of the day was very nice and the apple desert was excellent .

Have been here many times: always a good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and good choices on the menu which change with the seasons! They always go one step further in their dishes - highly recommended for a pleasant evening out!

Stopped here for a quick lunch and rest. Relaxed atmosphere. Fish soup was good. Hot tea was welcoming in cold, rainy day. Service was good also.

The Jordaan is chock full of "hole-in-the-wall" bars and restaurants. We stopped by Spanjer our last evening before returning home. It was a good choice. Wife & I each had a bowl of onion soup. Lots of onions, and very tasty broth. We also split a shredded beef burrito. Nice crust and good inside as well. As mentioned, shredded beef,... More

I'm a big fan of this place, I always come back. Food is delicious and great value. There are always new things on the menu, never gets boring. You can choose from cozy inside or tables outside overlooking the canal. Good coffee , delish dessert.

Thank olaesu
