Amsterdam is difficult to find a toilet and when my family and I visiting the albert cuyp market we decided to simply walk in to this thai restaurant because it is located in the centre of the market. It is quite quiet when we walked in. The price of the food was not expensive, normal rate for thai food in... More

Small friendly restaurant, home cooked food. The meal was well presented and tasty. Good value . Don't be put off by the cheap decor.

After trying some other Thai restaurants in the area we got the tip to go to Pahop. We were not dissapointed. Food was fresh, tasty and cheap. Decorations could use some freshing up, as most oriental restaurants in this part of town, but as I took the food home with me that was not an issue for me.

When we were looking from outside a woman told us it was gerat and very authentic. So we ate there. Ambience feels basic and very very minimalist Food was great delicious, and authentic. The soups are extemely spicy so watch out. Tofu in mild yellow curry was incredible. Pad thai very Good.

Great place in the market. We were lucky to stumble upon it whilst walking around. The service was quick and the food very authentic. It was full of expats and locals alike which was great.

This is another Thai restaurant in Amsterdam South. The menu looks promising. The meats (beef, pork or other) with mixed vegetables are a good proposition. But when it comes to tasting, we had better experiences elsewhere. The dominant effect seems to result from brown sugar in the recipe. The results are rather flat compared to the subtle Thai cuisine we... More

I used to eat here a lot when i lived in the Amsterdam and the food was always great. Now i came back after not being here for server year and the food is still great. The problem with this place is that it really needs renovation. The place has not changed even one bit since i visited it first.... More

We went last night, the thai waiter is very kind and nice. The atmosphere was nice. We ordered appetizers (deep fried prawns were perfect!), spicy salad with beef (soooooo good, spicy with fresh coriander that I love!!), glazed soy noodles with prawns (the best!) and so on. Big portions (we didn't know so we ordered too much!), for a good... More

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
