This cafe is just out of the busy touristy district. There were locals and tourists. The food was great (we had steak), and the drinks good. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

Sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by. Delicious sandwiches and great coffee. A bit scruffy looking inside but that doesn't really matter if the food is good!

Called for a drink and snacks. Both was reasonably priced and tasty. Not much of an atmosphere as with some bars but ok still.

We liked this place so much, we ate here twice. Just a short walk from the really touristy areas, the place is typically busy with locals - always a good sign. The atmosphere is casual and the service is very good. The blackboard specials are worth trying - assuming they're not already sold out. You will find the meals here... More

Late night walk around the places led us to this place. Reasonable selection of beverages, good service. It was interesting to be there with the local people and enjoy the time in Amsterdam.

Great little bar reasonable selection of beers bar food was great. Service was slow however worth the wait.great bar busy plenty of atmosphere. Loads of board games available to play open late and reasonable for Amsterdam which drinks wise is a lot more expensive than the UK.

Great little gem slightly off the beaten track. Busy with locals when I visited (a welcome relief from the swarms of RLD tourist nutters!) :-)

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
