The Paella Valencia was one of the better that I've had was plentiful for 2. Our other choices, grilled calamari, tortilla & flan we're all tasty and nicely presented. Small wine list but with nice selections to match the menu and reasonably priced.

It was serendipity to find this place. Between us, we had excellent seafood paella, a succulent pollo tropical, a delicious steak dish. Great Spanish wines (recommend the rioja). Leave room for dessert - the flan is so yummy. Great service and reasonable prices.

A small, cozy and friendly place in the Pijp area in Amsterdam. The Seafood Paella is excellent. I'm not Spanish, so hard to judge the authenticity, but it really tastes like the ones we had before in Spain. Highly recommended!

This small Spanish neighborhood restaurant is situated right next to the Albert Cuyp market in De Pijp on the south side of Amsterdam. The place was packed as we came to take advantage of the AH dinner deal which was even better as we were able to freely choose our three course menu. We shared our starters of cueso Manchego... I've been here with a friend tonight, even without a reservation and a full booked room it has been arranged for us a sit. Fast, frendly and clean staff. One of the best Sangria I've ever had, same for the aioli bread and the salad. Not the same about the paella and the fish: this one was not tasty and... More

Arrived in Amsterdam on a Saturday afternoon and this restaurant was recommended by our host. No reservation but we were provided with a table in the front during a very busy night. This was not a problem, as we were looked after very well; the food, tapas was simply superb, and the gin and tonic was the largest I've ever... More

If only for the 'aioli'; go to Vamos a Ver. You find it like in no other restaurant in town. This is the real stuff; made of 'ai'l (garlic) and 'olio' (oil) only. Lobed, solid, opaque white. Not like mayonaise from a jar. Not yellowish: not pimped up with either egg yolk, mustard or lemon juice. This is how the... More

Like many people, we also enjoyed their paella, it was really delicious and the tapas we ordered as starter (mixed plate) was also worth a try. If you like Spanish food, this is a must place to try in Amsterdam.

Best paella in Amsterdam, very cosy restaurant in Pijp. Good service, reasonably priced food that tastes like heaven. Highly recommended. Sometimes possible to book through Groupon, but even to pay a full price is worth every single cent you pay for.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
