The scones are to die for! This was my second time here and we had the afternoon high tea (separate menu for this) and boy it was amazing! Quiche, sandwiches, four different kind of cakes, two different scones with jam/lemon curd and clotted cream. And of course tea! This kept the hunger away for hours. Highly recommendable.

Unassuming facade leads to warm cozy restaurant with a backyard garden. The group dinning table is tastefully laid out with spring flowers and jugs of jam and curds. Menu is healthy and family. The staff were warm and helpful. Simply love the scones and breads. The cheese and curd especially the passion fruit curd were great! Ate there this morning.... More

Lovely cafe hidden a bit of a walk away. Came here on recommendation of the Lonely Planet book. Little characteristic gem, with a very friendly guy who served us. The food did take some time to come, but i think service is just a slower pace generally in Amsterdam, but i didn't mind waiting as the food was worth it.... More

Next time we are in Amsterdam we will definitely come back for Lunch - and maybe Breakfast again because we enjoyed it so much. The scones were absolutely delicious. The jams were all homemade and lovely with the scones! Other people in our group had the french toast which they enjoyed. The breakfast items were all delicious, wait staff excellent,... More

The jams and pastries are very tasty and homemade. Try the flavoured bread (cynnamon, raspberries...) it is amazing. The local is nice and smells amazing from all the pastries they make!

The menu is not so big, and anyway they didn't have what we ordered. Although we were flexible with that part, they practically send us out in a rude way because of the noise of my 2 years old. And it's supposed it's part of their vision to be a child friendly place.

Visited as 2 friends for breakfast during a long weekend in Amsterdam. Was so good we went back the following day. Atmosphere was lovely and the passion fruit curd was one of the best things we have ever tasted! Cannot recommend highly enough, it's a must visit when in Amsterdam.

One of the best bakeries in Amsterdam with some awesome sandwiches. Very comfortable place to visit and a must visit place in Amsterdam. Slightly difficult to find but worth the effort.

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
