This restaurant was in the top 10 restaurants in Amsterdam in our guide book. We were a little worried at first, as we were the first people in the restaurant. However It certainly did not disappoint. We did eat relatively early and the restaurant began to fill as we got through the rice table. We had never had anything like... More

Not going to go at great lengths to justify my review, it was mediocre at best and I'm bring kind when I put it this way. It wasn't even near authentic, (married for over 30 years to an Indonesian wife, been there 5 times) portioning is extremely meagre. Luke warm, all in all cooked and served without any love for... Dear Mr. Gourmand_Grey, We are sorry to hear about your experience. However we are sure you are writing about the wrong restaurant. As our cooks and also our waiters/waitresses are from Indonesia. We have an open kitchen, so if you really took a glimpse in our open kitchen, you will see yourself that our cooks are Indonesians and not like... More

We had a meal for two one evening here, whilst it was a small restaurant with tables quite close together, it carried off a good atmosphere, the staff were very good at advice as we hadn't eaten this type of food before, whilst it was similar to most oriental restaurants there is a difference of course. We went for a... More

Our first time enjoying Indonesian food. We elected the sampling platter of small portions of the dishes the restaurant offered. We were not disappointed; all the dishes were a delight to the taste buds.

We ordered a smaller version of the "RIJSTTAFEL MINAHASA", which included a variety of beef, chicken and vegetable dishes, and all were superb! Spiciness cooked to order, and excellent service! One of the best meals I have eaten!

Went for lunch with friends, only one person taking care of the whole place, but he was great! The food was very good and the waiter was really polite and kept calm even though he needed to take care of everything on his own.

If you haven’t tried Indonesian food yet, Amsterdam is a great place to give it a go and this mid-price restaurant south of the centre is one of the best in the city. If you are a first timer, an ideal introduction is a rijsttafel, a banquet of 18 delicious and spicy dishes that range from mild to few notches... More

A fairly basic setting for a restaurant that's really all about the food. We decided we had to have the 24 course rijsttafel minahasa. This is excellent value and the food really is lovely. It arrived quite quickly served in a series of small bowls that gives a couple of mouthfuls per couple of diners and probably left us a... More

Very tasty food - bought a kind of sharing main (Rijsttafel) which consisted of sides, lots (more than enough) of small main dishes and rice. Each dish was wonderful. The lamb was very tender and the varying spices were great. The service was very good - we stayed until quite late (near closing time) but the waiter was always polite... More

The food was very good and so was the service. The prices were reasonable would recommend a visit when visiting Amsterdam.
