We had a set menu (20 Euros). Pea soup is outstanding. I had stamppot (meatball) and my wife had a beef equivalent. Both were delicious. Then a vanilla/custard/red berry desert. They have a good selection of beers. Well worth a visit.

I've been there the week before Christmas. The restaurant is pretty nice, there are many tables but it's better to book. Here you can taste typical Holland dishes. I've tried leek soup, baked salmon and mashed potatoes. It was nice, quality was good but nothing special. Prices were also good, almost 30€ for that courses and a very good local... More

Nothing fancy here, but a good variety. Service consisted on order taking and delivery only. Mussels were plentiful and fries were quite flavourful. Also tried the appetiser sampler--all fried, all edible, nothing memorable. Prices were reasonable and serving size average.

We did not plan on where to have dinner and stumbled on this charming place while strolling the streets after our visit to Van Gogh museum. It looked very nice from the outside and the menu was quite interesting, so we gave it a go. Must I say we did not regret! Wonderful entré of chèvre chard salad, followed by... More

It's a good place, which as described in the title will show you what the dutch food is all about. If you don't have much time and you're in city center do visit. The food is very good but the place is quite touristy (given the location). You may have to wait, since the place is popular and very busy

Tasty, hearty proper Dutch food for a cold day, just what we needed. Whether you want soup and a roll at lunchtime or the full works for dinner you can expect to eat very well at a modest price. The herring starter was only excelled by the cheese board with its accompanying fruitbread for dessert. I was asked how well... More

I have had quite a few dinners and lunches at the restaurant. I love, love, love the pancakes for lunch, the stampots (any variety, but the Andijvie is my favorite) for dinner and the traditional peasoup is really good.

We had dinner in this restaurant as a family of three including our nine year old daughter. The restaurant was very busy but we managed to arrive at a time where they could accommodate us. They were still welcoming customers at ten o'clock. The food was good and it gave us a chance to try Dutch dishes. The staff were... More

Not much to report really. Pea soup with bacon delicious, not really a beerplace, Heineken orAmstel on draft. Soup excellent, service friendly, the apple pie looked very good but no room!
