We ate here all four nights we were in Leiden. The food was very tasty and unusual. Shared plates were encouraged, but the ribs were so good that I didn't share! Staff was very good also.

Easy to order, share platters, or solo or surprise menu. At lot of care was taken to arrange and dress the dishes. We were sitting close to the open kitchen and did see many platters pass.

Walked past DLS a couple of times before walking in. What was originally going to be a quick drink, turned into several delicious dinner plates (both veggie and non veggie options) and rum in various forms! The plates were smaller than usual because the idea...More

I was here in November. It was quite packed, but luckily we got a table. The service was okay, but they should have more staff, since you had to wait quite long for the food. We ordered the Mac and cheese, which was good, nothing...More

Located on a nice spot in Leiden, close to Rembrandts’ birth spot and at the Mors Gate. We did not think we got value for money. Quality of the food is okay, but overpriced. The velvet pancakes one of us had and the sandwich the...More

The food was good overall. There was some better than others. The restaurant is attempting to replicated American southern soul food. It’s a good attempt but need to work on the flavor. I would not give it 6 stars but their attempt was admirable. Please...More

Not sure what happened because this place has great reviews but our experience was not that great. We sat at a table that wasn.t made yet, bread crumbles still on it. The waiter came and asked what we want to drink but ignored the mess...More

Food was excellent, really nice way to share and try a lot of different dishes. My American husband said the macaroni and cheese was the best he's ever had. Service was a little slow, but very friendly.

Menu and concept explained to us in good English. When you can get the attention of the staff they are very friendly and welcoming. We ordered fried chicken, cowboy steak and macaroni cheese with wedges and dirty rice. The rice didn't arrive and we weren't...More
