Restaurant on the canal in Leiden. Croque Madame was terrific. Very friendly nice waitstaff. Locally popular.

Vooraf en Toe is often crowded on the weekends but it's a nice spot for lunch or a cup of joe. As its wonderful sign in its main room says,
Late lunch with my dearest. Simple toast with grilled cheese and ham. Plus a nice sandwich with avocado and other veggies. Two cappuccini made thi a perfect lunch for two in a very traditional pub. Nothing special but just such a nice laid back atmosphere.
Nice pace, more a cafe with all kinds of sandwiches. Once or twice a week it's possible to have dinner. It's no "grande cuisine" but it's made with attention and served for a good price. I like to go there because they are always friendly.
