Visited Rotterdam for the first time the other day, and I wanted to have lunch in Chinatown. Picked out Tai Wu based on their tripadvisor reviews, as well as the alluring "Gault Millau" stickers on their door. I think all this lead to my expectations being a bit too high. Our meal of dim sum was fine, filling, and inexpensive... More

This is one of the classic chinese restaurants in Rotterdam. Though not so slick and trendy as the other restaurants that are now all around the area, it has still an attraction to lots of chinese. It is usually quite full but you can manage to get a table quite swiftly. Especially the Peking duck is very nice, recommended.

Tai wu is excellent, but the stuff could be friendlier and more attentive. The food is phenomenal! The restaurant it self is a bit old but you really feel like in China.

On June 7 we decided to celebrate the birthday of my brother at Tai Wu. He is really fond of the Cantonese kitchen but we were a bit disappointed in the amount of Cantonese dishes on the menu. However, we decided to take a few dim sum dishes and some other plates with duck, sate ajam (chicken on stick), regular... More

Tai Wu is located in a very busy part of Rotterdam city so it's better to go there with public transport. They have good prices and good food too. Generous portions that can be shared by two or maybe more depending on how much you eat of course. Their Peking duck is one of the best I've had so far... More

Booked by one of our friends, we visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening. We sat a round table with the four us and each ordered their favorite to share. I choose the half Peking duck , which was served with sauce, shredded lettuce and little rice pancakes. I missed the chili though: the duck was perfectly glazed, and all... More

The restaurant may look a little too grand and maybe dated, but food is definately good and considering it is just a very short walk across from Centraal Station Rotterdam, the price is not too costly. As a matter of fact the portion was larger that i would have expected, real god value for money and centrally located.

Went for dinner and took advice from waitress to take the BBQ meat ( roast duck and belly of pork ). The rice and meat was surely good enough for 2 and the price charged was moderate. Washed down with house wine and enjoyed the evening. It was quite busy on a Sunday evening; recommended.

My visit to Rotterdam started from here after being picked up by my local friend at the Rotterdam Centraal Station. Tai Wu is conveniently located and only 0.5 mile from it on the main road Mauritsweg. Inside the restaurant it was busy on a Friday night and I can tell this restaurant must be popular here almost instantly. My friend... More

We visited Tai Wu with a group of 5. We had several dishes, soups, dim sun, some delicious buns, panckaces. We must admit, that it was probably the best dinner we had in a big group. The food is nice, the service is quick, the chinese tea is very refreshing after a windy day in the city. Higly recommanded!
