Very pleasant atmosphere with nice soft jazz music and superb food. We particularly enjoyed the venison which was beautifully presented and extremely tender. Wine arrangement was also perfect. Very attentive and friendly service. One of the finest meals I've experienced in nearly thirty years of living in The Hague. Thank you!

I have spent a wonderful evening with friends in this restaurant. We had the surprise menue from the chef and it was just phenomenal. While my friends had the regular surprise menue, I went for a vegan version of it. Althogh that is not in the official menue, the chef went above and beyond all expectations and surprised with varied... More

I just had dinner with my wife. the place is very well located in the center of La Hague. The menu is short and with few options but everything in the list is great. The scallops were the best of all night! Only those were worth visit! The service was very good. The price was fair for the experience we... More

We managed to get a table outside during a heat wave without reservation and were so lucky. The owner is incredibly friendly and charming. The food is excellent and the prices not too high

We were a large, booked group and they seemed quite unable to cope. Service very slow, taking over three hours, so I left without coffee. Amuse-Bouche fine; ravioli starter so al dente it was uncooked and luke warm; steak was fatty and completely raw (I like it rare)- three of our group sent it back to be cooked more. Pudding... More

I booked a 6 course arrangement via Heerlijk, a Dutch restaurant site. We got a 5 course menu, because a waiter made a mistake. We ordered a wine from 2013, got 2014, they explained me that it was a typos. They call themselves A fish restaurant but served meat and duck as main courses. After an amuse, 2 starters and... More

Love this quirky restaurant. Lovely and highly passionate Spanish owner, intent to make this The Hague best restaurant. Needless to say, great service and surprising French/ Spanish dishes. Don't pass on the Txogitxu paired with their Muga Rioja, you'll be in foodie heaven! Forgive them meanwhile for the interior, they're working on that. But hey, the proof is in the... More

My mother-in-law and I went to Les Ombrelles this month and it was fantastic! Every course was delicious and the staff listened to every request. My mother-in-law doesn't normally drink, but even she was impressed with the rose infused champagne and great dessert wine.

Stopped for lunch and was totally blown away at how tasty and refined a sandwich could be. I'm jealous that I didn't go for the full lunch, the plates look really good.

The food is amazing. The service is incredible. Wine is the best. They have valet parking (more convenient impossible). They are specialized in Fish, but they also have the best "Grilled Côte de boeuf" in the city(100% recommended). I highly recommend Les Ombrelles

Description
Les Ombrelles is a restaurant specialising in fish, situated in the old centre of The Hague near the Denneweg, nationally known for its antique dealers, pleasant pubs and good restaurants.Fish, shell-fish and crustacean have a central place in Les Ombrelles. The restaurant is often visited by guests from the government, from the world of business and certainly also by private people who feel at home in the intimate easy atmosphere. The cook has no secrets. The open kitchen gives a wide view of all the pots and pans and each member of the culinary team is happy to answer all possible questions you might have about recipes and menus. Nicolette van ’t Hof and her team of waiters and waitresses are very happy to serve you proficiently and with our wine-waiter offers you delicious wines from around the world.Since 1984, Restaurant Les Ombrelles has been guaranteeing a varied offer of fresh fish, shell-fish and crustaceans. If you prefer meet or vegetarian dishes, we can also fulfil your wishes. In our restaurant besides dinner, you can also enjoy lunch from the refined French cuisine; weather permitting we open the doors to the terrace. The interior honours its name and we cook on an old Dutch fire, which you can admire through the open kitchen. Moreover in the evening we offer free parking service, which is not a luxury in the centre of town: just stop in front of the door and your car is taken to our garage.
