Great seafood selection and easily the best grilled shrimp scampi I've ever had. Also ordered the homemade fish soup which came with bread with a delicious sauce. Can't go wrong!! Very nice staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

This isn't you typical place to eat, it's a fish bar attached to a fishmonger, but it's the place for fish snacks. There is no seating indoors, you eat at standing tables on a plaza overlooked by the Sint-Katelijneplein church. Which is beautiful when the weather is nice, but not ideal if it's miserable. The menu consists of fish soup,... More

Seafood..the sea,the elements, fishermen celebrating after an early catch...all very bracing and romantic behaviours....so it stands to reason that customers at Noordzee Mer du Nord should be asked to stand at the tall tables whilst sampling their fare. I stood waiting for my plate of whitebait whilst enveloped by a hot cloud rising up from the snail soup and overheard... More

My boyfriend and I went this place for a quick bite, but end up having a seafood lunch. We ordered razor clam, calamari and scampi, scallope and fish soup. All of them were so tasty so we ordered the same again. It costed us around 25 euro each for lunch including a glass of white wine. Definitely recommend to go... More

If you like seafood, really fresh seafood, then this is the place for you. We saw this restaurant while walking in the area and returned for lunch, when they had high-top tables (no chairs) for patrons to eat their lunch. The fish was delicious, service was fast, and while the portions were small, it was just right for a light... More

This place is an institution. Call it a counter, call it a fish bar, or food stand but it's simply the place for fish snacks. The menu consists of a few (rotating) times feat. fish soup, croquettes, escargots, razor clams or whatever else is in season. The food is always fresh and always tastes great, doesn't matter if you stop... More

One of the best meals we had. Very friendly staff and fish and seafood super fresh. Small portions but plenty to fill you up. We got a selection of a few dishes and the best was the grilled soul fish and the croquettes. Divine! There's no sitting outside but you can inside next door to them where they've got an... More

This is a popular place with locals, so expect to queue and have one in your party be vigilant to swoop on a table when available. We had delicious fish soup and fried prawns. Very good food, particularly for the price. I can't remember how much we spent exactly, but it was cheap and the food and spectacle made it... More

Freshy seafood that you can order by your finger in the short distance. Cooking time is excellent. Get a Belge beer and cheers up!
