I've visited a couple of times now while waiting for the Eurostar. On this occasion I was lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the sun. Food service isn't speedy but everything is freshly cooked and prices are reasonable. Better than the options inside the station.

Dropped in whilst waiting for train to London. Immediately greeted very warmly and brought good crusty bread. Ordered coffee and two light bites of ham and chorizo. Was surprised but pleased by the portion sizes, which were more than adequate and both were very tasty. Despite being right opposite the Gare de Midi this restaurant/bar as a nice feel to... More

Just across the square from the busy Brussels Midi station, this was a pleasant break from the noise and bustle. Although it is modern in style, it feels much less frenetic than the eateries in the main station building. As a bonus the food and beer is very tasty and pretty good value.

Both food and service were great! Nice place to hang out as you're waiting for your train! Plenty of choices, food was excellent and staff very attentive! Will definitely go back on my next class trip to Brussels!

Plenty of choice on the menu - food arrived promptly, well presented and very tasty. All staff were friendly and attentive - service was excellent. It was nice to be able to see the chefs preparing the meals, as we sat near the bar area. Very close to station and we managed to get a table inside (weather was way... More

Absolutely delicious food, great flavour and vitamin rich, if you pick carefully. If you are looking for cheap, go elsewhere.

Nice place to sit and wait for the train. Had a nice coffee. Nothing special but good. Seemed that many customers Were drinking local beers. So the selection was big.

I initially baulked at going in, as the name “Le Comptoir des Salades”, (the Salad Counter), didn’t exactly fill me with enthusiasm. I view green salad the way Superman views green Kryptonite - but The Boss fancied a salad and I must obey. The Boss smacked her lips at the huge selection of really quite nice sounding salads and I... More

Had dinner on a Thursday evening. Only a handful of people, but nice friendly service. Basic food, tasty enough. Maybe a bit overpriced, but we were only in Brussels one night, so had nothing to compare it with. I would recommend as there isn't much in the area.
