Our meal for 3 people came to Euro 176 for 3 courses with a bottle of house wine and aperitifs. For this price we could have eaten in a seriously good restaurant. The decor is pleasant enough in brasserie style. The service was efficient but charmless. The food was at best average although the cherry kriek sorbet dessert was excellent.... More

This is a little off the beaten path but more typical than the more touristic restaurants in the center of the city. Indeed you see many local customers but already multiple languages are spoken here!! I go for the classics again: mussels with white wine, fries and bier. Very well done: fat and tasty mussels, delicious fries. A real pleasure.

This intimate restaurant specialising in Belgian/Brussels fare is located quite a bit away from the tourist areas, which is not a bad thing - it is worth a "detour". I had the mussels, a dish the are proud of - there are an amazing amount of different varieties to choose from. My friends and I tried a few of them... More

The cheery ambience of Zinneke was perfect on a cold, wet evening in Brussels. The welcoming manner of the staff helped as well. The decor is charming and there's a lot to interest looking around the walls. Everything is spotless. The whole place gleams and is obviously cherished. I don't know if it's family owned but it has that feel.... More

With it’s reputation as one of Brussels leading moules-frites restaurants, I'd been looking forward to eating at Le Zinneke for weeks prior to my arrival in the city. Once clear of the airport and downtown via the very good train service, all I had to do was walk there, 10 minutes maximum. I was due to arrive late for a... More

I initially found this place as my partner had a craving for mussels , and I had read the reviews on here and elsewhere and thought let's give it a try . We were lucky they managed to squeeze us in , if you're planning on going I would book , as it was rammed with mostly locals . The... More

Situated a bit outside the city centre, this is a hidden gem. The moules frites were excellent, and it is easy to be overwhelmed by the huge variety in moules offered. Unfortunately, the restaurant is slightly pricey and you would be in for at least 35-40€ pr head.

This place was recommended to me by a colleague, and it is amazing. The mussels were large, fresh and tasty. There are 69 different recipes of mussels available. I had number 69! The service was excellent. The price was very reasonable. I can't wait to go back and try another recipe.

Thank Scott T
