Definitely a place worth visiting. The seafood is really tasty and the portions are enjoyable. The “house”. Big plus for nice and fast service.

We came here our first night in town and thought we had a reservation but turns out we didn’t but they took us anyway as whole upstairs was empty . We were late like 9 and they closed at 10 . They had 1 waiter for the upstairs and a busboy so it took a while to get our order in but the food looked so good we were excited . We ordered the mussels and the seafood platter for 2 hot , which was way too much food for two people! The mussels were very good but the fries were meaty and not very flavorful like steak fries , for a city known for their fries these were just OK . Mussels were very good and the platter as I said was huge . The challenge was that from the time we ordered till we got the food was way too long and but the time it was in front of us they were closing down the place around us . The staff was still very nice . Some of the seafood like the lobster and few of the shrimp were raw , but it was only a few things and everything else tasted great in a slightly spicy sauce that tasted great . We forced ourselves to eat most of it mussels, clams , prawns , snails , lobster , squid , it was endless . Very nice experience other than minor issues and the staff and owner were very kind, courteous and inviting.

Went to this place to have dinner twice because the first experience was outstanding! First dinner: Was seated downstairs beside the lobster tank and the service was supreme! Prompt and very accommodating. Asked for extra sauce and they gave it for free. Had free limoncello shots too after the meal. We ordered the mixed meat platter and moules frites (3 adults) and were stuffed to the brim! Really good moules! And the meat were served as we wanted them - medium rare. 2nd dinner: Was seated upstairs. The service was alright but it lacked the jive and the liveliness of the staff downstairs. Let’s just say it felt like a library instead of a restaurant. But the food was still goooood. We had the mixed seafood platter this time and 1 whole lobster (still for 3 adults). This was my birthday dinner, and the staff did sing happy birthday and gave me free waffle cake, but the service wasn’t as good as the previous night. However the staff downstairs made up for it because before we left, they sang happy birthday with the other guests dining and gave us all a free round of champagne and so that was really nice. Would definitely come back if I’m ever in Brussels again. Food was good with decent price. Highly recommended! Ask to be seated downstairs lol

I was a little apprehensive at first but decided on giving them a shot because I was craving mussels. Let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. We were not hungry and actually had just eaten at another place before this and wanted to eat some seafood before leaving the country. When we were unable to finish our food and left behind a good amount. The staff was concerned and thought we did not like their stuff. The staff was always polite, smiling and very attentive from the moment you walked in.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere, absolutely loved the place . If you love seafood and a cosy friendly atmosphere you must visit the place. We ordered a large seafood plater and the big plate of oysters which were the best in Brussels. The owner is very friendly and attentive and offered us a good advice on a food choice and a complementary drink. Five star service.

We use Trip adviser a lot when overseas and I just can’t understand why this restaurant has such a high score. Be warned this ist the sort of restaurant where you are given a grubby laminated card with photos of the food to point at. There is a large flat screen TV with US Masterchef on. The restaurant itself is fairly small with dated decor. The wine list had a few (maybe 5) whites and reds, all average with a high mark up. We ordered the seafood paella from the specialty “ point at” list. It was not served in a paella pan with a crust on the bottom but was bland rice with overcooked seafood on an aluminium try. No smoked paprika or fresh herbs that I could detect. We had some wonderful memorable meals in Belgium , this was disappointing

We had a great meal here, and the service was fantastic, they really take care of you and care about the food you want to eat. I had paella with Lobster added, which was fantastic as it had the whole melange of seafood typically in paella. Added a lovely bottle of wine, and we were stuffed. Nice ambience too, small so you should make reservations as it is in the town center and busy at night with tourists.

Best kept secret in Rue de Boucher! The fish with rice is exquisite...perfectly cooked with a beautiful presentation. Vegetables were tender yet crisp; the fries, not to be compared to anywhere else; the mussels, delighful! Overall experience, the waiters were so helpful and attentive. Thank you

No trip to Belgium is complete without Mussels and Frites! A huge portion of Mussels seasoned and cooked in a variety of sauces is this restaurant's star attraction. On the outskirts of a picturesque square, this restaurant is a regular haunt of locals. The owner takes a pride in the menu and is attentive, while the service from waiters is superb and reflective of a wonderful environment. The Mussels tasted of the sea - we chose those cooked in a white wine broth enriched with celery, carrots and sea greens. The Paella on the adjoining table looked wonderful and the seafood and fish menu was enticing and calls for repeated visits. The price was extremely competitive, it is not often you get to dine in a Capital City restaurant on a budget. Next time we visit Brussels we will return!

Visited this restaurant after reading trip advisor reviews and were certainly not disappointed- if you like seafood you must go! We opted for lobster seafood sharing platter for two (hot). The platter was massive with lots of oysters, prawns, clams, mussels etc and a delicious lobster. All cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The waiter was very attentive but discrete also. Finished off with lovely Cointreau coffee. There is also a large seating area upstairs which we hadnt noticed - just in case you think restaurant full! Booking also recommended as very busy. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is very deceptive as it doesn’t look much from the outside but is very pleasant and comfortable inside. We were seated upstairs by the “log fire” and decided on the seafood platter with lobster. You will be offered it hot or cold and we chose the former. The portion was plentiful with a variety of shellfish, squid and, of course, the lobster. It was delicious and we were both full afterwards. Our only minor disappointment was a rather loud foursome of drunken Germans a few tables away.

Outstanding moules and even better service! My last night in Brussels for a conference and I really wanted moules frites. But, with celiac disease, it was hard to find frites that didn’t share a gluten fryer. We chose the adorable location of Lobster House and I had resigned myself to moules sans frites. But the beautiful owner assured me I was not the only one with this charge and he only made frites in the fryer (another separate fryer for the croquettes). I got a HUGE bucketful of the the sweetest, loveliest mussels, a plate of frites, what appeared to be homemade (homemade!) mayonnaise, and a gorgeous half bottle of wine to split with a colleague. Beautiful and flavorful wine sauce, too. Highly recommend to anyone in Brussels!

Visited this place with some friends and had the worst steak i've ever had. They also all ordered the lobster and said it was chewy and gross. The waiter stood and stared at us as we ate our food - Really not a pleasant experience.
