If there would be a Jason Priestley (that guy from Beverly Hills 90210) lookalike-contest, I would be the only contestant and I am pretty sure I would win the event. So everytime when I come into a bar, people go like "oh my god, oh my god" and so on... So maybe the bad ratings come from "normal" people, but... More

Cafe de la Presse has all of the bad qualities of its younger brother Cafe du Sablon, but none of its assets. Its a place that seems to put off locals and only remains popular by the grace of unaware tourists. The location is kinda cool though.

It is still as bad as it was.....today I spent a good five minutes at the counter before one of the 5 staff working behind it acknowlegded my presence. Good staff would stop washing dishes or whatever and tend to a waiting customer. I am sorry, but this place should put itself out of its misery.

My favorite place to chill and have the best coffee choices! Nice stuff, great place to make friends.

How much respect do the owners show to the customers when they provide extremely worn and dirty chairs / sofas? I think that this is not the correct approach of running a "cozy" place!! This large space should have been redecorated a long time ago. Decent variety of coffees and desserts. Gets too crowded and noisy.

The service is often not agreable. For brunch, I had to ask a plate for the croissants, and later we were waiting for forks and knifes for at least 10 minutes. The salads are often without taste. Some cakes are very dry to my taste.

Service is sometimes very good, most of the times awful. Very sassy-mouthed, young, artsy ad angsty people employed makes for an interesting environment and customer service. Food is good, mostly sandwiches, salads, cakes etc. But completely overpriced.

I have gone to this Cafe several times Solo. Today I went to this Cafe Solo on avenue Louise for a coffee break. It's one of those quirky places with worn mismatched tables and chairs designed to be cosy. Newspapers and magazines are available to be read on premises. They also offer complimentary wifi. One can purchase soups, salads, cakes,... More

I like the vibe, the cakes, the coffee, the mood of the place. Lovely on Saturday mornings, when it is relatively empty. Perfect to chill. Otherwise yes, crowded. Like good places normally are

I wasn't impressed with my visit last time, so came back again AFTER 1 year, things have gotten only worse. Bad service, dirty tables, cheapest possible quality coffee, but now they have also replaced shugar with something unbearable, whatever that was, I don't think I'll be coming there again.
