I normally leave good restaurant reviews but this experience was rather terrible in a city of so many good options. Some dishes were decent (steak), others particularly the duck was so stringy that it was impossible to eat. When I pointed this out to two waiters they avoided looking at me and demonstratively looked past. No attempt was made to... More

I work in this neighborhood and so now and then I eat out . We went there several times in the past years . Friendly staff and now they even have a multilingual staff member which is an extra in this international part of town . Service is professional , friendly but not pushy . Variety of starters and mains... More

I enjoyed a meal here with some business colleagues. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant with excellent french cuisine. The setting is quite warm and homely with an excellent fireplace burning on the cold night we were visiting.

I liked the decor but it lack of athmospere: bit more personality (coming from the staff) could do. food ok but for the price is a no. 15 euro for 3! ravioli is far too much as well as the main. wanted to try but will not rush back. happy to pay for quality but don't like being ripped off

We came across this place with my boyfriend looking for something in that area. It is a small, cosy place and very nice for a romantic dinner. The menu itself is very well thought and it was quite hard to decide what to eat. My choice was a duo of duck breasts in sauce and st. jacobs mussels in sauce,... More

Always good to stroll back side of big events like 21st of July Belgian National day parade, so we did and ended at le 3ème Acte where delicious Belgian food was served in a ' kelder' style restaurant with limted light atmosphere .

A group of 25 guests from all over Europe gathered for an after business dine & wine is hard to please, yet this casual restaurant was really a pleasant surprise. Eclectic dishes, some European, some imported from far away kitchens, were very delicious. Service was very attentive to variety of demands including strange food allergies of one of the guests.... As Brussels resident, I can assure you that it's possible to eat better for that money. Interior of the restaurants, shabby old. It claims to be French cuisine, well, thai curry on the menu doesn't really fit in the picture. I would say its fusion restaurant. Argentinian steak they served was good, but atmosphere is not wow and food is... More

We discovered the restaurant while walking in the museum area and looking for a place to have lunch. We tried their table hote which was very good and well priced. The host was very friendly and the ambiance was great with pretty much locals. We were there with two little kids and they ate all the food and enjoyed the... More

Description
Le Troisième Acte in a well turned-out quarter of Brussels near the Palais de Justice, has established itself in almost no time as one fine eating destination. The reason? We'd put our money on dynamic, inventive chef Christophe Mathieu and Didier Waldbillig, your guide to the superb wine list. The design of the restaurant is a classic mix of relaxed and smart, with exposed brick walls, wooden floors and banquettes, original art work, lovely pools of light. The menu features excellent sourcing, like beef direct from Argentina, enhanced by Mathieu's deft hand with spices and fresh herbs. Dishes include salads, pastas, casolettes, and creations like half-cooked tuna with aubergine caviar ravioli, white truffle oil, rocket and tomato coulis, or chicken supreme speculoos. Recommended for work and romance, too.
