We had dinner at 't klok huys without booking in advance on a Saturday evening, we were lucky because there were only a few tables not reserved. The atmosphere is lovely, very cosy, a beautiful building in the centre of Gent. Food was fine, nothing fancy very traditional Flemish dishes. Food was tasty and large portions. Price is reasonable for... More

We had stew, stroganoff and prawn risotto. All plated were delicious. Service was good until the last 30 minutes. Waiters simply vanished! All in all a lunch we highly enjoyed

Ghent is a marvelous touristic city with numerous historic buildings to visit. The atmosphere, even during a (sunny) winter day, was charming. Lots of tourists wandering around. Also, like in many Belgian touristic centers, there is an extensive choice of restaurants. We blindly took the “ ‘t Klokhuys”. The restaurant was almost full, apparently a successful place. Since we didn’t... More

We chose the beef strog with fries and the waterzoo with chicken. Well presented, beer was juicy and tender, sauce was rich and delicious! Lovely service, good wine, reasonably priced.

We visited the restaurant for a meal for two whilst in beautiful Ghent. The staff were amazing and the food was fantastic. We followed a number of reviews on TA and this was the best experience by far. We had Flemish Stew and Waterzooi both lovely local dishes cooked to perfection. It's a shame it was our last night otherwise... More

I visited this brasserie for a Sunday lunch and we found it really cosy on such a cold day. We ate excellent dishes, the service was very good and they have often special daily dishes. The atmosphere is warm, not noisy and can be considered also for a romantic date. I really suggest this brasserie if you was to eat... More

Highly recommended place. Make sure you book the table and check working hours. We visited on Sunday, the place opened at 5:30pm at was almost fully booked. Pre-fix menu with 3 dishes, 3 options for each change was really good. We also tried beef stew and warm Apple tart. All were good.

Stopped in here on our first night in Ghent. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including the waitress who spoke little English. Had the traditional beef stew which was very tasty and plenty on the plate. My partner had the Perch- huge piece of beautiful tasting fish. Recommended.

Six of us enjoyed an exceptional meal, lively but relaxed atmosphere, excellent friendly service and wonderful Belgian beer. First on our list for a meal when we return to Ghent!
