Outstanding restaurant in the historic beguinage in Leuven. If weather permits, I would recommend having your lunch or dinner in the beautiful garden, but rest assured, the interior is as stylish as the exterior. The food is truly excellent and the staff caters (loved their...stylish covid proof masks) to all your needs. Each dish is beautifully presented and the wines are excellent. The prices are rather high, but you do get value for money. For fans of fine dinging, this restaurant is not to be missed.More

We heard there was a new chef on duty and decided to give it a try. Friendly welcome, classy interior. Appetizers (4) were beautifully designed, of the starters we especially appreciated the langoustine (2 ways). Sole as mains was correct, we would have appreciated 'normal'...cut fries instead of the fine ones served. Nice winelist.More

A bit atypical restaurant ambient gives a specialty touch to the whole experience. The service was good, despite the fact that several tables filled at the same time, the waiters manage to handle it perfectly. Food was great, perfectly paired with the wine - some...more exotic, less known wine from less famous regions, but perfectly selected. Plates nicely decorated, quality of the food was superb. Meal worth of every euro.More

Great menu! Full of varity and tastes. Best example of Belgian top cuisine. With a nice international group who felt honoured to be in such luxury. The service is outstanding. From the tasters through to desert we had beautifully prepared delights.

It was a little bit too chilly that evening to have a drink, let alone eat, outside (a pity ... the garden is nice), and we went inside for a one course meal- with plenty of small bites before and after. David I believe was...the man who took excellent care of us, which included the great recommendation for the house red wine - an Austrian Kellner - it was perfect with our meal. We had a splendid evening of conversation in a very nice setting.More

We came here to celebrate a conference dinner. I don't think a lot of people have the opportunity to eat at a restaurant with 1 Michelin star located in a UNESCO heritage site. I don't even have to describe this place, just Google it and...you'll see how incredible it is. The food was out of this world. The flavour and the presentation show why they got the star. I don't know about their standard menu since the one we got was prepared especially for the conference. However, the salmon and the chicken were very rich in flavour. The ice cream was a trip, too. I have never had rhubarb compote in my life. It was an amazing experience.More

Going for a luncheon with old schoolfriends, and I knew the Faculty Club as a hotel, but didn't expect to discover a gastronomic restaurant overhere.... Overall: very professional service, from welcoming, reception, to the waiting team. We had the 'business lunch' and I really felt pampered....With all attentions and/or dishes we got a top professional explanation from the "maitre" in charge of the service, really good! Quality of the food and accompanying wine was of top standards. This Faculty Club has great potentials in matters of meeting rooms, break out rooms, space for cocktails, weddings, briefly any type of event ! Even the parking facilities are well organised and available ! Easy access !More

This was our first meal at Cum Laude. We went for diner and based our choice on positive ratings on several booking sites. We choose the 4 course seasonal menu. It was preceded by 3 amuse bouche. The quality of the food surpsssed our expectations....The slow cooked saddle of lamb was sublime and probably the best lamb I ate since a long time. Only the desert, a combination of rubarb, goat milk's icecream and basil did not score highest marks. The little rubarb stripes where difficult to cut and therefore, disappeared well beforre the other ingredients. The restaurant locates inside the Grand Beguinage, a UNESCO World Heritage site and is part of the Universtiy of Leuven's Faculty Club, but open to the general public. The satff is very friendly and will do there best to fulfil your desires. We asked for a swift diner service and got it.More

Once again the quality of both dishes and service was excellent. It is always a pleasure being in these premises for lunch or dinner. Staff is very stylish and discrete. The setting is unique.

Dining at Cum Laude-Faculty club in Leuven is best explained by superlatives. Perfect service, great atmosphere and excellent, tasteful and beautifully executed food. The club is located at the Groot Begijnhof and about 25 minutes walking distance from the station.
