.....and wow, what a difference Amy and Jullian, the new owners have made in such a short time. We dinned there last night for the second time and the food is simply amazing. Tasty and beautifully presented by Matt the chef and not over priced. The whole team there are friendly and accommodating and nothing is to much trouble. If... More

Visited last night with friends, not disappointed. It was a chilly evening, fire and heating was on - lovely. Food was excellent, enjoyed by all of us. Men said the beer was first class and could have stayed a lot longer. Barman, from eels foot was there, great, as we frequent there a lot he immediately got our drinks ready... More

Great beer served from casks behind the bar. The pub is now run by the people who've made a success of the Eel's Foot. It was a great local pub before. I'm optimistic it'll become even better

Visited with family for an Easter weekend lunch. We were staying locally and enjoyed some good food and very welcoming service. The owner said that he was new this this week, and was still getting used to the place, but this did not show in the service or the food all of which was very good. I can recommend this... More

Popped in last night, having booked. New licensees were thin on the ground with only themselves running bar and serving food and as a result service was chaotic with a lengthy wait. Starter was ok but main ( venison ) was served with a sauce which did not work and one potato. Overall this was a real let down as... More

We managed to get the last table on a Friday evening in April, the staff were all very friendly, good choice on the menu. One of us had a starter, the other decided to save himself for pudding, unfortunately after a lovely fish pie, he had no room left!

The previously reviewed landlords have recently left the Bell. I was lucky enough to eat and drink there before then. A large garden area, a big open fire, Adnams beers direct from the barrel and large portions of tasty food as both value pub type food and a good selection of specials. Also dogs are welcome in the bar. What... More

Suffolk Secrets recommend this place as dog friendly so we arrived for lunch with two well behaved dogs. To our question may we bring our dogs in a tremendously rude man "barked abruptly" - in the bar. We left - the entire lounge was empty. We want to the ship at Dunwich instead which was just fabulous. Very welcoming to... More

Saw rhe sign for the Bell yesterday and decided to have lunch today. A great drive through the village which leads to the Bell Inn. First impression was a great pub in a loverly village. Not disappointed when going into the Bell. A pubs pub. It's an Adnams tied House but as always never disappointed with the quality of drinks... More
