I am happy to say that I have often had a 5 Star experience at the O’Conner House. I find I am never disappointed in the atmosphere, the service or the food. It’s consistently great! It’s unusual in this way and very reasonable cost. If...you love tea or wine and a light fare with great flavours- check it out. Great soups, quiche and desserts 💕More

this is a hidden gem for sure!. Food was great and everything was fresh and of good quality. we had the afternoon tea which had great presentation. the space is lovely. the only downside to an otherwise 5 rating was the service. it was extremely...slow. we knew when we walked in it might be, due to how busy they were, and we are patient, but it was really, really slow. staff were nice and friendly but even taking dirty dishes away when bringing something to us didn't happen. but I would go back just for the food. just take caution that Saturdays might be crazy busy so give yourself lots of time!More

What an absolutely lovely experience. Perfectly decorated with exquisite touches. Ordered the high tea and it comes in a three tier plate. Beautiful touches like carnations and just exceptionally well put together. Fresh and lovely. Would absolutely recommend and will be back.

We ordered high tea (take out) and were impressed by both the quality and presentation. Staff even offered to provide a tea pot for our tea! The coconut cream pie was divine and (because we are nice people :), we ordered a whole pie and...family portion of sticky toffee pudding to take home for the family. If you have a few extra minutes, enjoy shopping at the adjacent antique store. All the staff endeavoured to make you feel like an honoured guest and genuinely appreciated your patronage.More

The O’Conner house is by far a highlight of our trip. Our first time at the restaurant by recommendation of our friends. The English Tea Room is absolutely gorgeous and unique in it’s decor with the most helpful and friendly servers. If that does not...bring you back the food will. Both my wife and I had the always popular Famous Quiche, it was absolutely delicious and I recommend it. We left room for dessert, I had the Coconut Cream Pie and my wife had the English Bread Putting. Both were homemade, by the owner I believe, and they were by far the best pies we have enjoyed in a long time if not ever. And don’t forget to visit the antiques as part of the restaurant.More

My husband and I have been thinking of something different for our anniversary. The O’Connor House was the perfect place for lunch. Hot and steaming pumpkin soup hit the spot for a cool October Saturday. I ordered the Balmoral Salmon with a creamy lemon dill...sauce on garden greens served with salad. Colourfully put together, done to perfection... everything on my plate was eaten to the last morsel. A slice of coconut cream pie with a pot of freshly steeped chai tea - sealed this special occasion with two thumbs up and five stars(excellent). Our genuine compliments to the Master Chef and the Lovely Waitress - Great Team. What a unique experience of dining in Victorian atmosphere with real Victorian fine China, etc.! We highly recommend this one-of-a-kind gem. Thank you and God bless.More

It's late September so it was a bonus to be able to have lunch in their garden. Because of the pandemic, they added a few tables outside and now plan to keep them. The menu is limited like most places now but everything is made...onsite and is very good. We had lemon/ginger iced tea and their homemade quiche with a garden salad. We were offered three choices of dressing for the salad, again all homemade. Service was fast and the owner/chef even came out to chat and then brought our bill. He thanked us for coming, it's a tough world now for restaurant owners. We didn't see much of the inside but were told the tables are well spaced and everyone was masked. It's a lovely place to meet a friend for lunch and catching up.More

A pleasant surprise as we stopped here for lunch. So glad we did, service was great, atmosphere very pleasant and relaxing. Good variety of items on the menu at reasonable prices. Choice of beers and wines interesting...like one would expect in an English pub. Deserts...items, finished off a great meal. Able to relax and enjoy our meal and conversation, no hurry for one to leave. Would make this a preferred stop on our next trip through the area. Thank youMore

I found this place by chance with friends while hunting antiques in the store next door. What a find? I have since visited 3 times more and just love it. The food is so tasty, so fresh, and so so delicious. The roast beef sandwich...is really something else, but then again so are the salad dressings. I could go on and on about how wonderful everything is. Being from England originally, I especially love the decor and the whole concept of this delightful English tearoom. Definitely worth a visit and definitely worth the money.More

Feels like your in a real English/Irish tea house. Cool music playing in the back ground tea pots and tea cups and all things old as decor. The BEST soup regardless of what kind !! This trip it was roasted pumpkin with ginger OMG! Great...sandwiches again doesn’t match what suits your fancy they are all delicious on fresh homemade bread. Even if you are full don’t pass up the deserts my personal favourite is the coconut cream pie. A great drive to see the fall colours today and had a wonderful mealMore
