A woman was on the phone as we stood waiting for ice cream. She stared at us and walked away. We were very disturbed. Don’t go here!!!!!

Meal is always tasty and prepared well, porportions are generous. The cooks, wait staff and store staff are all a pleasure to talk to. Most of our fellow seasonal campers are all decent. I look forward to coming to marble lake lodge every weekend and...when i am on holidays.More

A friendly, family-oriented resort, Marble Lake Lodge offers an ideal setting to kick back, relax and enjoy the serenity of Marble Lake. We stayed in a rustic cabin near the sandy beach and enjoyed canoeing during the day and having a barbecue and campfire in...the evening. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, which allowed us to prepare our meals, and there's also a licensed restaurant on the site - The Hungry Moose - known for its large portions. The lodge is conveniently located near Bon Echo Provincial Park and a dark-sky preserve.More

We went in for dinner twice this week. Have to say the service and food were great! Christine served us earlier in the week and she was excellent. So friendly and never had to wait for a refill of our drinks. The pizza made by...Chris was amazing! Last night Stephanie was our server. And same thing....friendly, excellent service. You can tell she really likes her job. And the best pizza in Ontario in my humble opinion! Good work MLL gang!More

The title says it all. We love to support local business, especially during this pandemic. Unfortunately this restaurant is often staffed with immature and inexperienced kids. The food is mediocre at best and way overpriced. There are better local options available.

This place is a disaster! Mouse droppings everywhere, was a used bar of soap in the shower, so obviously had not been cleaned after previous renters. This is especially concerning with present Covid cleaning requirements to be applied. The septic tank was emitting very foul...odour. There's not sufficient electrical outlets, don't remember seeing a fire distinguisher, or fire alarm, no safety protocols displayed. When we mentioned all of these issues to the management, she had an excuse for everything. We had booked the cabin (shack) for 2 nights, but left after 2 hours!More

We stayed 4 nights in cottage 1....I should have turned and left the minute I walked in. The cottage is old and in such disrepair I don't think I can list everything wrong...cottage is on a slope so the cupboard doors all stay open. Bathroom...door won't shut stove burners don't all work fridge is covered in dust front door is very difficult to shut and the lock very hard to open. The shower house is absolutely filthy...I used it 1x and than chose to have a sponge bath as I couldn't bear to use it again Owners seemed unavailable .... Restaurant was supposed to be open Wednesday to Sunday..,had told the owner we would come Thursday for our anniversary.....it than didn't open so no dinner for us to celebrate. This resort needs a complete do over...the owners should be ashamed that they continue to rent....and complain about how busy they have been during CoVid ....perhaps gratitude that anyone would rent here would be more appropriate.More

We were out for a drive in the area and were looking for a chip stand and happy to fall upon one at the base of Marble Lake. However that’s where the happiness ended. We ordered a simple poutine with two drinks. It took 30+...minutes to receive our food. The staff behind the counter was flustered and untrained. Both male and female (the female who seemed to be the supervisor) were overwhelmed by three customers. Orders were ice cream, poutine, and one refund (for a boat rental that did not function). The refund seemed to be the trigger. Not the validity of it, more how to process it. It became clear there was no training on how to triage incoming customers while another staff takes care of a refund. They seemed to completely forget there were customers waiting in line, while the two talked between themselves about how to do this refund. Even after the refund individual stepped aside/out, it became embarrassing to watch how slowly the two offered to serve the ice cream order and left my husband and I hanging without any follow up on why our order was taking so long. It’s really sad because we noted that this location would be awesome for a good solid service food stand. As for the food, in fairness I’d give it a three out of five. But we really weren’t expecting more than that in an out of the way location, so it was fair. For us, sadly, it was about the service and was a huge waste of time on a beautiful day to stand in this little entrance and watch the evidence of badly trained employees. Frankly, The responsibility for this lies fully on management. They were nowhere to be seen. We would highly recommend that management take seriously the opportunity they have here, and take the time to train their staff in a way that would make this place a spot people people would remember and want to return to. That’s what we hoped it would be. Unfortunately, we will likely not be back. You have one opportunity to make a first impression, seems that management of this location has forgotten that in their effort for success. We are confident we are the 1 in 10 that is giving feedback. Please take it to heart. It really could be a far reaching success story, similar to Isobel’s Chip Stand - now gone. People are searching for their traditional chip stand visit when they come to this area. There is a huge opportunity here, if done well. PS When our order did finally come, only one fork and napkin could be located Behind the counter. After some searching the male employee found one in the cupboards… Leaving us to feel not so sure about its cleanliness. Again some preparation here when things are slow would be a recommendation. Take it or leave it.More

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Restaurant opened at 9 am, so a little on the late side for early birds. Coffee was fine, typical diner stuff. Breakfast was very good and good size, so very good value. Wouldn’t hesitate to drop in there again....Didn’t try out for dinner or lunch, but the menu looked good.More

We stayed at the Myers Cave resort and instead of heading into town to grab a bit we decided to check out the "hungry Moose" located on the grounds of the maple lodge. The pizza and poutine is amazing and priced nicely. The staff is...very nice and accommodating.More
