this place is going from strength to strength and it's good to see the food is amazing and the place was a lot busier. The gift section could be a lot better it used to be we are local but for travellers the gift section would be disappointing. Great to see the improvements and hope it continues on this path

The menu is relatively small, however the food is great, especially the loaves and scones. Friendly and quick service and there is a lovely farm shop located adjacent to the cafe.

Conveniently located just off the M90 at Kelty, we stopped off here for a snack on the way home from a day out. The last time I visited this place was about 10 years ago and, having had a poor food and customer service experience then, I hadnt been back. I found that the environment hasnt changed at all in... We fell out of love with this establishment some years ago as a result of atrocious service and very poor food but decided to risk another visit when we heard that Baxters had taken over a year ago. It is very conveniently situated just of the M90. The service was good and the food presented for lunch was ok. The... More

Many thanks for your comments.Baxters Kelty has had a huge surge in popularity and is extrremely busy ,especially at the weekends. We have spent lots of time selecting our retail products which seem to work well for us.Unfortunately the site was much quieter the weekend you visited due to the fact the motorway slip road had been closed This meant that... I've been here for lunch twice in 2 months (my elderly father lives nearby and he likes their steak pie). On my first visit in September, we stepped into the restaurant at 2pm, having booked a table, to be greeted with: "if you've come for lunch, there's a 40 minute wait". Not even a "hello"!!!! Back again this week, service... More

Following on from my glowing review of Baxter's as a wedding reception venue, I wanted to share some photos that show the interior and some of the food they prepared for us. From the initial consultation, we were blown away with the enthusiasm, commitment and genuine friendliness of all of the staff. In particular, Philip the manager, was a pleasure... More

I was a quite apprehensive about my visit to yourselves on as our previous experience had not been to great and negative comments on this site but I was pleasantly surprised. Myself and my partner arrived Sunday afternoon to a rather busy restaurant but the staff seemed to cope well and we did not have a long wait. We had... More

We stopped for a quick lunch on our way home. Food was hot and tasty (toasted haggis and cheese ciabatta, Cullen skink). However, tea arrived as dry tea bag on a saucer with hot water in a pot. We asked that the tea be taken away and made properly. It returned moments later. The waitress said they make it that... More

Visited on Saturday 8 October 2016 for coffee/cake etc - whilst food itself was lovely, the down side was the amount of blue bottles flying around. The flies landed continuously on our food, our hair, our clothes. Advised waitress about the problem but was told didn't have any fly killer. Flies continued to land on our cake so spoke to... More
