A safe choice. Very clean and efficient but also with real charm. Very busy with local people. Highly recommend.

Amazing meal, with very typical dishes from Alentejo! Great food for great value for money. Again typical and local food, not fancy or gourmet! Slow service? For sure! This is Alentejo, where slow is the motion! If you want fast, get out of Alentejo. You are not there to be fed, but to enjoy. And you enjoy food at slow... More

I assume the Portuguese kitchen deserves better than the dishes that are served here. Our expectations were high, reading all the reviews. But from the main course to the side dishes of salads and fried chips, none of them were spectacular. In the end this place totally fits the village Beja.

Attended as a Birthday treat for my wife's birthday with 4 other friends, this restaurant is a hidden gem, a lovely restaurant, full of character and warmth. Food, wine and staff was excellent, 6 very happy diners. Fabulous , will definitely be visiting again.

Indicated by a near by resident that saw us wondering, the restaurant merits a visite. The food is very good, with the typical pork dishes in alentejo, the tomato soup with poached egg and fish soup, make you want to go back. The only disappointment was that they had run out of deserts. The service was friendly.

This place was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at. I would endorse that recommendation. The place has character, the waiting staff are very good, the two we had spoke English. We ordered their speciality veal with the April 25th tag. When it arrived it was undercooked but they happily took it back and it was returned... More

This restaurant was hidden away on its own, as are many in Beja. We were the first couple in for lunch and greeted by a friendly waiter. It was no problem to share a main course and we skipped the traditional bread and olives to keep our appetite sharper. The Sangria was just great and we ordered veal medallions on... More

If you are interested in trying proper regional and typical food with top notch quality, this restaurant is definitely a great option. Try the meat, try the gaspacho, try the desserts, try the wine, try everything!

Perfect dinner, perfect price. A place to go for high quality Portuguese cuisine. The quality of the "porco preto" is very good. Recomendation: suprème de porco.

Excelent food with a very reasonable price. Very good typical deserts. A little bit slow service, but pleasant staff.
