This place was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at. I would endorse that recommendation. The place has character, the waiting staff are very good, the two we had spoke English. We ordered their speciality veal with the April 25th tag. When it arrived it was undercooked but they happily took it back and it was returned... More

This restaurant was hidden away on its own, as are many in Beja. We were the first couple in for lunch and greeted by a friendly waiter. It was no problem to share a main course and we skipped the traditional bread and olives to keep our appetite sharper. The Sangria was just great and we ordered veal medallions on... More

If you are interested in trying proper regional and typical food with top notch quality, this restaurant is definitely a great option. Try the meat, try the gaspacho, try the desserts, try the wine, try everything!

Perfect dinner, perfect price. A place to go for high quality Portuguese cuisine. The quality of the "porco preto" is very good. Recomendation: suprème de porco.

Excelent food with a very reasonable price. Very good typical deserts. A little bit slow service, but pleasant staff.

We booked here because of other reviews and it was a good idea for a Saturday night. At lunchtime people were queuing up the street so lunch even more important to book. Obviously a family run business with several generations working hard. Very friendly welcome and even though we didn't need it some do speak English. A good and reasonably... More

Good food, good local wine , nice people! The restaurant brings to the visitor the typical Alentejo with typical decoration, like local wine cellar and local countryside tools. The normal price per person is about € 20. The visitor can eat a real good dessert like "encharcada" or "sericaia", typically Alentejo!

Impossible to eat without reservation. Sadly we are only traveling through Beja and the "best" restaurant kick us away, and my wife pregnant.

Very Nice place, very good typical food but better book table. We arrive without booking and we had to wait for a little in spite the employee never tells how much time will take...you need to take the risk...tables full = the day ends😜
