We went there on Sunday evening and didn't need to book. The food was really tasty and the staff was very nice and helpful.

If you are looking for a restaurant with local flavor, you wont be disappointed. The restaurant is located on the side street from Praca de Giraldo. Its in the basement with interesting decor and a well right inside the entrance. Service is great. We had the bread starter with olives, pork tenderloin, "Acoda" traditional fish soup, red wine pear with... More

We had dinner at this place when trying to find a Portuguese restaurant. Codfish soup is a good starter. We had codfish with walnuts puree. The Pera Grave local wine is a well kept secret. Excellent deal. The service is excellent, Isabel and Ze Maria are very attentive. The owner, Mr. Joaquim, is very helpful and give good advice about... More

Everything was great. Delicious traditional Portuguese food with a twist, for great value. Service was amazing, staff are extremely friendly. Very nice setting.

If you are in Evora try this restaurant. Alentejo food in a new way. Share different dishes. All are worth testing. Good prices!

Also organic, fresh, and tasty. The chefs seem to be on a rampage to produce unique dishes based on traditional Portuguese concepts, like nothing I have tasted before (despite 7 trips to Portugal). I recommend the stuffed mushrooms with chèvre as appetizer, piglet, lamb or rock-bass as main course, and the mille-feuille (however that is spelled :) ) for dessert.... More

May 06, 2016 we visited the restaurant at our receptionist recommendation and it was one of the best surprises in Portugal. First: it was their second day after opening under new management and after extensive renovations. Secondly it was a great, enjoyable atmosphere, warm smiles and a team at our service to really appreciate. Specific, regional meals, with a twist,... More

Located in a basement, this restaurant offers fresh, regional dishes. We tried pork and fish and both were tasty and nicely presented. Service was friendly and informative. A nice alternative to the touristy outdoor restaurants in the Praca do Giraldo.

We ate at three highly recommended places in Evora and this was the best - the food we had were local specialities, but not the usual ones, and everything was well-presented and delicious, with good wines. Good value, too.

We were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our regional meal. The price was reasonable, ambiance comfortable, and the service was excellent. I started with the egg, bread, and coriander soup (rich chicken broth with a fried egg, cilantro, and big croutons) served very hot from a tureen. Then, roast lamb (2 shanks) and roasted potatoes. Yummy! My husband was disappointed... More
