This has to be one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. You'll arrive at a 15th century monastery that has been converted into a 5-star boutique hotel. The restaurant is located in the beautifully refurbished wine and grain cellar, amid arched plastered vaults. The room is both very large and because of the vaults very private. It is... More

Very cordial. Food not super memorable but wine and the whole experience was great. Spacious so you can actually have a private conversation. All around very very good.

We'd eaten so well in Evora, we expected better. Maybe we'd been spoiled, but we're also pretty hard markers..

We were staying at the Convento do Espinheiro and ate both evenings at the restaurant because after the first meal, we couldn't imagine going anywhere else. It is very upscale, but everything we had was perfectly prepared and delicious. Service was very good, too. One night I had the veal with vegetables and it was beautifully tender. Portions here are... More

Loved the setting. It's as pretty as the picture above. Food was very good and many fish and meat choices. Service was excellent as well.

Function food at best...( tasteless and served Luke warm), very slow service at dinner service, very overpriced for the quality..and a maitre de who tries to upsell you on a €130 bottle of wine... There are much better eating and drinking experiences in Evora town.

The Chef puts together great food using local produce. Amazing flavors, perfectly balanced. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, located in the area previously used by the Convent's monks as a wine celar.

We had dinner here when we stayed in the Convento for 3 nights. The tappas as starter are a great choice.

We live in Lisbon so have access to great Portuguese restaurants at really competitive price. This one was excellent and very cosy, I believe it is not far from deserving a Michelin Start but I think it´s a bit overpriced. The tasting menu is the best value option as A la Carte is really too expensive for Portugal (more expensive... More
