We arrived in Evora en route from Guarda to the Algarve on a cold very wet evening and were delighted to find this small restaurant tucked away in the narrow side streets. What a find! Terrific Alentejo regional food served in generous portions at reasonable...More

We had sea bass for one dish and griled lamb chops for the other. The lamb chops were nicely cooked, thinner than we are used to in Canada, but great tasting. The sea bass was served as a whole fish laid open. It seemed like...More

We were excited about this place and unfortunately it was not worth it. The waitress was really rude - and usually that’s not a make or break for us. But she refused to give any recommendations and was sighing and rolling her eyes when we...More

I did not remember being treated so poorly. We've been waiting for the food for over an hour ... when it worked to my amazement comes the table saying that after all I did not have my request!

This restaurant is great for sharing and family meals. This place is good for seafood. I think you’ll find the portions are massive so I suggest that you share between quite a few people. You can sit inside or outside, but be prepared it might...More

This was a wonderful dining experience. The server was a great help. We ended up ordering arroz de tamboril I think. Anyway, it was a seafood and rice stew cooked in a giant clay pot. We had lobster and crab. The flavors were so incredible...More

We were well warned from previous reviews that the restaurant is a little on the slow side so we were prepared to wait! Otherwise, it would have been a 4* because the wait is lengthy...! Apart from that the restaurant is inoffensive and quite traditional...More

Restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We went for lunch and perhaps we didn't order their specialties. Lots of food, very traditional Portuguese meal. Tasty - but doesn't stand out as one of the best meals we had in Evora. Would try again, though!

Don’t go here if you’re short on time. Go here if you want some awesome local food! While it did take some time to get us our meals, it was very much worth the wait. Great wine, good appetizers, and totally unforgettable mains. They were...More

We were 4, we had the tamboril rice and the cherne after a couple of starters. Food was really good but was also waaaaay too much. We could've skipped one of the main courses. Nevertheless the experience was very nice. A good location in a...More
