We had a traditional soup (tomato soup) and a bacalhau (potato, bacalhau, and shrimp). As a light lunch, they were very good.

We went there by recommendation. It is a good value restaurant, with good food and friendly staff. We recommend for a relax meal.

We went there because the other restaurants were full. It was such a bad idea. First, we were forgotten and waited more than one hour to get some frozen food. Second, my soup (made of bread and fish) was cold so i returned it. Third, there were hair in both our plates (not ours). I left still hungry because i... More

Had a really pleasant evening here. Great local feel, with very friendly staff who were very helpful despite our lack of Portuguese. Food was really well done and we had a lovely evening.

Had dinner here on patio. Food was okay, not great. Visa decals in all the windows. Came time to pay and put Visa card on bill. At that point I was told the visa was temporarily out of service....????? Didn't feel right.......thought they just wanted cash from tourists! At this point no one spoke any English except "bank machine". Really????... More

I must admit is getting better, but i think it would be a nice one after 5 more visits, at this rythm. Is my third meal (at work, booked by my staff - sure not by me) in this spot and i believe it was my last, mainly because Évora is bursting of great restaurants and it's clear that this... More

My wife and I found this restaurant on a dark, rainy night when we were just miserable. In some ways it's kind of a dump, but we found it homey. And filled with locals which we always find charming. If we wanted to eat every meal with Americans, we would just stay in Los Angeles. Any way the decor is... More

The restaurant that we had originally planned to eat at was closed on a Tuesday night, so our inn keeper suggested Martinho. We wanted some place that wasn't touristy and would have traditional menu options - and that is exactly what we found here. We were early enough that we were able to get a seat on the "terrace," a...
