We were a party of 22.. they can't cope with a large party. They don't ave menus just wrote on a blackboard. As your queing to read this you do feel pressured to order quickly. I ordered prawn salad to start. Which we all waited hr &1/2 to receive. When it did arrive I got plenty of chopped tomato bit... More

We visited this restaurant for a friends 50th, party of 22. Good views but food very poor. At least half the meals were cold, undercooked or overcooked and it was very evident the venue could not cope with a large party. Good sea views but i would not recommend the a ruina. Resolving our issues was not easy either and... More

Having eaten here over many years, I had looked forward to revisiting after an absence of 5 years. The location is spectacular and the menu was as expected, fresh fish and pre-prepared salads to start. As always you order at the fish counter and I found the server over pushy with his suggestions. Despite our preferences he continued to pressure... More

We sat on the terrace at night and it was amazing. The fish had just been caught that night and we enjoyed a fresh meal.

The setting of this restaurant is lovely. There is no menu, their formula is to make you choose appetizers and a fresh fish from the counter. I was with a friend and the guy manning the counter was pushing us towards the sea bass, which we had had several times already. We wanted dourada but were told they were too... More

What an amazing restaurant on the beach! Staff could not of been friendlier and the seafood could not of been more delicious. This place was very reminiscent the Greek Islands. Such a romantic and awesome setting, which will put you right in the mood for a night on the town!

This old themed restaurant is beautiful with fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean. The first thing you do is go up to a counter where you have masses of fresh fish ready to be picked and cooked. They weigh the fish in front of you and grill it. Every plate of fish also comes with potatoes and vegetables. It is... More

Description
Welcome to the website of Restaurant A Ruina, located in Albufeira, in the charismatic Praia dos Pescadores. To meet us is like tasting the best in the Typical Algarvian Gastronomy. • Using the wall structure from the Tower wich defended Sant'Ana's Door, the restaurant A Ruina is open since 1971 - with Joao and Salome Lazaro: the art of good hospitality, always - associated with the development of Albufeira. With four interior rooms, being one of them an ancient well room, in the Summer you can enjoy the terrace and the esplanada at the beach.
