Visited for the first time for an evening meal in October. The restaurant was a little quiet which was a shame because the food was absolutely incredible. Had excellent scrambled eggs with prawns to start, followed by Iberian pork shoulder which was utterly historic and without doubt one of the finest pork dishes I have ever tried. For pudding you... Very glad we phoned to reserve a table for Sunday lunch, all outside tables filled up with English, German and Portuguese diners, many clearly returners. Delicious prawns in ginger and mackerel also in ginger starters. Steak and crunchy topped lamb for seconds and lemon meringue pie and chocolate cake to follow. Efficient and friendly service and lots of space inside... More

You can always count on being served well here with well cooked Portuguese food. We often take guests who are in the Algarve for a short visit. They enjoy the special local dishes and the terrace with lovely views or the typically decorated Portuguese farmhouse.

Very much true Portuguese cooking , several hearty casserole type dishes with the more normal fish and steak offerings. Farmouse style deco with warm welcome from proprietor and staff. About 10 minutes outside Loule on the road towards Querenca. Well worth the drive.

We have been returning to this restaurant for several years now. The food and service are consistantly very good. It is family run, and the menu changes sufficiently to maintain interest. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful outdoor setting under the trees and away from the road side. Would describe the menu as cross between Portuguese and French. Delicious meal, generous portions, excellent wine. The set menu for lunch (3 courses and coffee) for 16.50 which was excllent value.

Having just left this restaurant having attended due to the reviews on this site I have to be honest regarding our experience. The staff / management were lovely and comfortably attentive throughout our time there. Couverts were tasty and good value. The venue / building itself is delightful and thoughtfully decorated. However the main meal was disappointing considering the price... More

Arrived here for lunch on a roasting hot day. Got compensated by a lovely cold Rose wine! The food was very nice, specially the fish of the day and the beef cheeks were delicious. Super soft and very tasty. Great view and the owner and staff very friendly. Worth a visit!

Looked gorgeous on a balmy evening when 8 of us came here for dinner. Seemed quite full and it became apparent that both the waiting staff and kitchen were struggling. It was nigh 90 minutes before we got to our second course (mains). The wild boar casserole was like eating old boots. Pork shoulder was tasty but below expectation. Worked... More
