Enjoyed some grilled Boca Negra. Got to choose the fish and we shared the dish. Came with potatoes and veggies and was perfect for my gluten free diet. The fish came out on a boat shaped platter, very nice presentation. Staff was also very nice. Thanks for the great meal!

As our group of friends was driving back towards Ponta Delgada, we decided to stop at this restaurant for some seafood. Having had mixed results by relying on Tripadvisor ratings, we were delighted to find that this place lived up to the praise it's been getting and ended up going again the next evening (for lobster this time). The clams... More

Excellent sea food restaurant, a hidden gem. Great atmosphere and very warm welcome. A menu full of fresh and local dishes. Known for cracas (barnacles). Excellent Azorean wines available. The staff will treat you like a family member or old friend. They will recommend you dishes you will like and give you very honest advice. Highly recommended!

We stopped here today while on a tour. They brought out family style food which included local bread, cheese, blood sausage, and pineapple as appetizers. For our meal they brought a large salad, tons of fish and potatoes, and steak and eggs with French fries. Afterwards, we were given a choice of desserts. They had passion fruit pudding, creme brulee,... More

Yes we were severely hungry after a good trail walking thru the wilderness of São Miguel but we could not anticipate how fantastic the food would be when we chose this restaurant for having lunch. The dishes were sublimely prepared and tidily presented, especially the "Polvo à Lagareiro", by far the best one I tried and it is one of... More

We stopped for the plate of the day but were too late for the salmon and had to settle for the chicken--quite disappointing. Portions were more than ample, but the chicken was overcooked, the rice and potatoes fine, and the vegetables non-existent. Local beer was good and we were served quickly and politely.

In Dutch we would called it a 'gezellig' restaurant: warm and good. We had a good fish soup for starter and the fish platter with all the fresh fish of the day is a tip and order a local wine! Fairly priced. A place to return.
