Ate on the terrace in April 2011 and it was delicious. We shared a seafood rice (25euros) which we were told would feed two people. It was fantastic and easily the best paella we ate on our trip and would feed three people especially if you have bread and a starter. This was the best meal we had during our 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal. One of our party spilt a little sauce on her top and the waiter came to her aid immediately with a spray to fix her blouse. Fantastic service, setting, price. Wish I could eat there again.

Fully booked bar, doorman getting more people in and spending time with arguing next restaurant doorman. They totally forgotten our order and let us wait in our table.
From salads to seafood, one our favorite broad-menu restaurants in Cascais. We tried Bacalhau à Brás (shredded cod and potato), Polvo à Lagareiro (octopus with potatoes), and several others -- all excellent. WE didn't try the wide variety of meat dishes
We only had drinks in here but we went in three times, only for a swift one, so that said something that we wanted to go back. Staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't decide which beer to have so we were offered a taste....More
Stopped in the square and had drinks and a meal there. Good selection on menu and served quickly and pleasantly by waiter. Good food and nice location.
I ate by myself there around 6 pm and there were only a few tables taken. So the waiter took time to recommend a few dishes from which I chose their special seafood stew (cataplana). It was as tasty as he promised. The portion was...More
We came to Cascais for a day, and had lunch at this pub.
Really good service, friendly staff.
We ordered a "Bacalhau a lagareiro" (cod with roasted potatoes), and it was tasteful, and good amount of food for two.
While walking around Cascais it can be difficult to choose which pavement restaurant to eat at - especially as they all have staff posted outside inviting you in. John Bull is situated in the middle of a few similar restaurants but it's a good choice....More
