We stopped here after spending all day walking around Lisbon and we were not disappointed. This cafe has a great atmosphere and there's lots going on all the time. Great coffee, great service, and great nata!

I went here at 9;30 on a Sunday morning and immediately wished I had arrived at 8:00 when it opened. All the tables outside were full, but I didn't care because I wanted to sit inside anyway. The decor is art deco and really cool....More

I regretted that I visited the cafe only because of its name. The food was waaay below average. The service is ignorant and bad. Avoid! Ufff...

This was supposed to be an historical restaurant and I figure out that it was indeed before the mass tourism landed in Lisbon. It is not longer worth, the food is bad as well as the service.

Nice, old fashioned café. Old wooden interior. Staff not the most friendly, prawn salad or the ham and cheese plate were tastless and made with no fantasy. BUT the coffee and wine is cheap and good quality. Sit outside on the terrasse with a bottle...More

Mentioned in many guidebooks and "what to do in Lisbon" web sites. Great location in Bairre Alto which is a center of nightlife and Rua Garrett is one of the most famous streets in the city. Beautiful place, famous also from writer/poet Fernando Pessoa's statue...More

Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally,
"squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers
plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can
stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its
streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and
viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the
famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa,
having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used
