The fried hake and steak de la Matilda was amazing!! The tomato rice was slightly undercooked which was a turn off for me but I would go back just to eat the hake or steak again for sure!!

With a traditional Portuguese cuisine. Very kind staff. We went with our baby girl and friends for dinner and they had patience to listen some cry and brought bread and a delicious vegetable soup for her. We ate the duck rice that was amazing. We made reservation but the restaurant in big and even being a Saturday night it was... More

This was my first experience in this restaurant, but I found it great. I had a superb "arroz with garoupa" (grouper rice); both the rice and the fish were just rightly cook, the fish was very fresh and the taste great. Highly commendable!

This is a very famous restaurant of Lisbon, with Several years of history. A lot of specialities can be tasted, like duck rice, rabbit or a traditional Portuguese dish "arroz de cabidela".

I had bacalhau à Gomes de Sá (codfish) and while I can't say it was actually bad, it most certainly wasn't good either, even more so for it's price. Might have given a score of average if it wasn't for the service which was pretty weak: the waiters weren't exactly nice and not very efficient.

Real northern portuguese cuisine. Fish is very fresh and I would recommmend sole. In meat dishes the best in my opinion is the kid or lamb. Desserts are also traditional but in my opinion too much sugar. Employees are kind but sometimes not very well organized. Price is right for the type of restaurant. One thing more: it was one... The food in the restaurant is very good, one of the best you can find. The restaurant has some setbacks, but I give 5 stars because the food quality is so good you forget the rest. This is an old place, so don't expect to come here for a nice view or a romantic dinner. The biggest setback is the... More

Unfortanately, i want to start this review refering that in my opinion people are used to a low level quality of food to give four or five stars to this restaurant (specially the food). I can't say it was a tragic experience, and on the other hand, could be only one bad day (which i don't believe) i vist the... More

Located in a popular neighbourhood, this restaurant has a private garage. The food is traditional and the ingredients are excellent. There is a fine variety of Portuguese wines at all prices. Don’t look for deserts that are not regional. The clientele are habitués, some are known players from the football clubs. The staff is correct.

Great restaurant, superb food, we were there early in the evening so not many people. Waiters had some difficulty with English but we got through.... but the food made up for it and the wine was great value. A little off the beaten track but well worth the effort.
