We just stumbled this nice restaurant as our B&B is just across this place. Awesome food, outstanding service and wonderful wine. We are already making plans to be back tomorrow night.

We had been eying the menu and the beautiful establishment every time we walked past and decided to try it out. The fabulous wooden and glass cabinets and drawers from a 19th century grocery create the decor here. The food is Portuguese with a hint of North Africa and we dined magnificently following the suggestions of the maitre d'.

Intention to eat light quickly changed once we arrived - lovely meal. Drunken prawns and chicken tieta for mains with very nice bottle of red, followed by dessert and port. Ambience perfect for relaxed dinner and lovely design - old shop fittings dating back to 1896 still in place. Do yourself a favour and dine here - didn't need to... More

Lovely place with cosy atmosphere and the most charming gentleman as a host. Interior is fantastic, seems that there's been a grocery store in the old days. There is still old cabinets full of bottles, cans, spices and other fascinating stuffs. We visited restaurant twice since we were so fascinated of it. Food was also very good, especially the steak... What a fantastic experience! A true hidden pearl of Lisbon. Great host and a warm, authentic atmosphere. Fantastic Brazilian food - especially recommend the picanha (meat) and the moqueca (fish)! And don't forget to try Lisbon's best caipirinha... Highly recommend the Armazém da Cachaça!

This place was just round the corner from where we were staying and it was the most amazing meal and restaurant at stupidly low prices! It's off the beaten track tourist wise so a very local feel to the place. The walls are covered by original shelves from the shop front and the food, with a very traditional feel was... More

Sitting in a "bodega" athmosphere, enjoying nice whine and home made lemonade. Some traditional tapas as starters and "modern cuisine" for main course. Service gentle and warm. We ate a free reccommendation of starters :-)!
