From the outside this looks like a fairly ordinary place but the food - amazing!! We had hot stone steaks, beautiful tender meat brought raw to the table so you can cook it yourself on the hot stone. Meat was so fresh, tender and tasty....More

Excellent lunch of clams and vinho verde. Mainly Portuguese customers. Great meal and great value. Near to the historic church and castle.

It is a small place, many eating there were locals. We liked the food (seafood and salads), portions were big, and prices low. The stuff was friendly, funny, and atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

We had small shrimps as a starter and cooked rice with mixed seafood as the main course. Both were amazing, the place was small but cozy and had had that family restaurant feeling. The food came quickly and the seafood was fresh.

We stopped by hear after visiting the Castelo San Jorge - quick walk from the castle, maybe 10 minutes downhill). The restaurant is simple and welcoming, the waiters were so friendly and were joking with us a lot and making us laugh. I ordered the...More

A great option if staying in Alfalma; we returned a second time. Small, ~15 crowded tables. Initially taciturn owner/manager Alex opens up dramatically with a bit of personal contact, very helpful with menu options. Overall character of the place revealed by humorously charming misspellings in...More
